Hi..any opinions on which gives the best options for e-mail, storage, memory for downloading etc? We can get free service from netscape...but it looks to me like AOL offers the best . Any opinions from experience out there?
TIA,
Pam
AOL--$15 P. MO.
MSN---$10 P. MO.
NETSCAPE---FREE

I'm with Dan on this IE and Outlook Expreass is what I use.

Are you asking about software or internet access providers?

There is a reason computer techs refer to it as AOHell :)
Tina raises a good question, you don't need to use your ISP's software

We have Internet Explorer...but need to know which is best for E-mail purposes. We have the software from Netscape and Internet Explorer, but are wondering which of the above three e-mail providers is best.

Honestly, IMHO, they all blow. I prefer to use an ISP that allows me to use Outlook or Outlook Express. I hope you find some other DISers that can recommend one of these for you.

Seems like you're asking which dial up provider is the best. (IE or Outlook Express alone is not a provider).

I hate AOL. Expensive, slow, bad service. MSN is better, but not as good. If Netscape is free, I'll go with Netscape instead. How much storage do you need, and how much more does AOL provide over the others?

I use cable modem. I pay more, but alot more space, and it's much much much much faster. If you can afford it, at least consider. I will never go back to regular dial up.

We just switched over to a cable modem...but for attachments etc., we want to have a large storage option for e-mails. I appreciate the responses...we will keep researching it. AOL does provide the most attachment size...16 MB per att., but does not list storage capacity. This can get really aggrivating!

If you have a cable modem and use outlook express the emails are stored on your local hard drive. You have all the storage capacity you need. What cable company are you using? Your ISP should have given you an email account and you don't NEED AOL, MSN or anything else! Why pay for something that isn't any use?

If you want large storage, then use Outlook express, then you are storing to your own hard drive. Keep in mind, just because you can attach a large file, not everyone can recieve it. The attacment limitations work both ways.

I use web based email (yahoo) so i can get at it without regard to what computer I use to get at it, if you get what it is I'm getting at.
