AoA Water Wheelchair?

I am planning a trip in the fall of 2013 for a stay at the new Art of Animation resort. I was thrilled to find out that the large Nemo pool is zero entry!!

Does anyone know if they will have a water wheelchair available? It would be amazing if she could just sheel into the water and "jump" out instead of having to bump down stairs and risk scraping her legs.

We would really need the use of a water chair though since her regular chair has cushions that can't get wet.

We stayed at CBR this past winter, and it also has a zero-entry pool. I remember seeing someone with a water chair, but I never thought to ask if they brought it or it belonged to the resort. If it belonged to the CBR resort, presumably one should also be available at AoA. Hopefully someone else will know.

Have you tried calling the resort? I think you can reach them at 1 (407)938-7000.

A guidebook I have for people with disabilities indicates that water wheelchairs SHOULD be available at resorts with zero-entry pools. It indicates to ask a lifeguard. Likely the chairs are not left out to avoid abuse by people who don't need them, but available for those who do by simply asking.
