AoA Visit - Just returned last night

Hello! I loved reading your review. We will be going 10/29-11/3. :cool1: We are staying in a Cars Suite.

I was wondering how the coffee was? I love my coffee in the morning:)

I'm not the OP but I just returned yesterday from 7 nights in the Cars suite at AoA. The coffee in the rooms was good. Much better than Nescafe...it takes the coffee a while to brew though.

May I ask what the cars suite ran per night ? I am considering leaving the camper home and stay in the cars suite. Thanks

Depends on when you go. For this trip we paid $249 (plus taxes) for weeknights and $279 on weekends.

Thanks for your review! We stayed in a Nemo family suite in July with just myself and my girls to check it out for future stays, we are a family of 5.
I agree with you that the pictures don't do the resort justice at all!
We are a deluxe family for the most part, even though we do stay at all levels and like them for different reasons. We are one of the families that in the future, would hands down pick AoA for when our whole family goes over any deluxe for the extra bathroom and space. Bonus is the great theming, great foodcourt, etc.

Glad you had a great experience! Thanks so much for sharing it!

WOW! We are a deluxe family too. I guess I will have to check out AoA. We really need another bathroom next time we go and more space. I have tentatively decided on BLT, but that is hard to get and $$. I really did not like the All Stars though. (The busses were awful when we were there and the one food area for the resort just seemed crazy busy.) Does AoA feel differently than All Stars or should I just stay away since I didn't like them? I'm beginning to think I have answered my own question...

Thanks so much for the review, we usually stay Deluxe too and I was a bit worried about our Cars Suite at AOA but it is my 6 yr olds birthday and he loves CARS! So glad you have a great stay.
I think having the door to close off the master for my hubby to watch tv late night not disturbing the kids will be great and the 2 bathrooms will really help :)

Thanks for your review! We are staying in the Cars wing next month, and this post just got me even MORE excited than I already was!!! The only thing I had requested was not to have a parking lot view. I wouldn't mind a pool or lake view. It's a surprise for our 3 kiddies, and I can't wait!!! :cool1:

Thanks for the great review. It really does look like a great reosrt. I also like how the suites can fit 6 people. And that fold down table into the bed - very smart! :)

Glad you had a good time! :goodvibes

How did you find the storage I'm trying to work out how were going to do two weeks with clothes, luggage, and exrtas with out griping over everything all the time.... What about the fold out bed do you leave them unfolded and house keeping puts them back up for you or are you now putting bed away and trying to organize family to leave for the park in the morning.

Were the shower heads detachable? We rinse DD's hair off with our detachable shower head since it is so long. :)

We left the beds opened, they close them up.

As far as storage, the bureaus have nice deep drawers. There are hangers in both rooms. I hung all of my shirts and barely needed a drawer.

both sinks have a long shelf underneath so the counters don't need to be cluttered.
I felt like there was a nice amount of floor space to move around.

There were 5 of us - dh, me, DS14 (my height), DD12, and DS7. We were there from Friday-Friday. I didn't take many pictures of the suite because I knew there were so many already out there on the internet that look so much better than mine would. Here are a few:

Living area with fold-out couch. The material on the couch is kind of weird, like a plastic-y type of upholstery. DD said the fold-out bed is comfortable. To the right of this photo is the little "kitchen" area - countertop with plenty of space overhead (we put water bottle cases up there out of the way), coffeemaker (we didn't use it), sink, small refrigerator and microwave. There was a roll of paper towels under the sink, which came in very handy until we left them on the counter and the cleaning crew took them. In between the couch and this cabinetry there is a wastebasket AND recycling.

DS is sitting in the corner chair. Notice he has his foot on the little stool. See how much room there is between the TV and the stool, and in the above picture, between the stool and the couch?

Ok this is important, under the TV on the left side of the bureau, there is a false front panel. Open it downwards and there are electrical and a/v outlets. (This is in both bureaus) I mentioned this somewhere else but I counted ELEVEN open outlets altogether throughout the suite. :thumbsup2

This is the sink area of the bath in the main part of the suite. Notice that shelf on the bottom! Both bathrooms have a hairdryer. And a box of tissues. See the tissues? ;) Sorry I'm in a weird mood.

There is a pocket door separating this from the rest of the suite. The doorway (regular door) to the rest of the bathroom is there on that right wall where the counter ends. In that area is the toilet and shower, so someone could be getting ready at the sink while somebody else is doing whatever they need to do in privacy.

I thought the room pictures might be more interesting with people actually in the photos. :confused3 They DO sell these themed shower curtains in the shop for anyone who might be interested.

The bathroom off of the bedroom. This is all one room. Notice the nice long shelf underneath. Notice the nice flooring. Notice that my dd managed to leave her shoe in MY bathroom.

And we come to the end of my room photos with a shot of the master bath shower. And my goofy son. I tell you, nothing about this bathroom says "value resort".

**************.net has a very helpful photo review. I borrowed these from their site:

This is in the living room. Suitcases were nested inside each other and laid on ledge here on the left. It will stack 3 high if they don't nest. We had a suitcase standing up in that space between it and the bureau for dirty clothes. There was an equal amount of space on the other side.

This is in the master bedroom. Notice in both pictures there is a shelf above the hangers as well.

Here is the bed. There is plenty of room on the left side for suitcases or probably even a pack & play.

OK I think I've covered everything. Other points of interest - the chairs at the table do stack. There are two alarm clocks. There are four end tables. Each had a space in the bottom for storage. There is a note about taking towels to the pool and asking for more. There is a bin at the pool for your wet towels. Mousekeeping will arrange your kids' stuffed animals and may even leave a surprise.:thumbsup2

Let me know if you have any more questions and I'll do my best to answer them.:wave2:
