AOA suite vs LM room

We are booked for our November 2014 trip in a Cars suite. Hoppers/water park tickets and dining plan. We re all really excited about it and have already started making payments. But in the back of my mind still lurks the fact that a LM room would be $1400 cheaper! I have 2 boys that would be less than thrilled to stay in LM and I had a friend who stayed in LM a few weeks go that said next time she would book a suite for the walk alone. She said the morning walk wasn't an issue but after a day in the parks it was torture. My parents think we are crazy to spend that much on a room that we aren't going to spend much time in so that has me second guessing my decision. And we could book a mod cheaper but we are totally set on AOA. We have had a postcard of the big blue pool at night on our fridge for months now. Pop won't do either as my DH hated it and spent our whole last trip wishing we would've stayed at AOA. Money isn't an issue for my second guessing because we have budgeted for the Cars suite. I guess it's just a mom's nature to second guess....not to mention my parents telling me we are nuts doesn't help!!! Please convince me that my Cars suite is going to be well worth it!!!

You still have over a year to decide if that is what you want :)

By November of 2014 CBR will be newly refurbished most likely (your boys like pirates? :)

And if they have a free dining, a mod would maybe have a free ddp instead of qs.

A lot can change in a year. But 1400$ is a lot extra to spend if you don't need the space for 6 people and are only going with 4 people. Think of all the car things you could buy with $1400 the boys could take home with them! :)

I know I am not helping!

(I wouldn't worry about it at all until you start seeing the discounts for Nov 2014, that might really change your mind in price difference then)

We loved our LK suite. We have also stayed in LM and had a great trip. They were two different trips, but both had pros.

It was a much more relaxing stay at the LK suite because the girls were so stoked to go to bed every night in the table that converted to a bed. It was so cool. They also had their own bathroom so getting ready was less stressful as well. Having a bedroom door and our bathroom was nice for us so we could have some privacy. The room also had a coffee and tea station which was nice. We were a quick walk to the food court and could grab a late night snack on our way to our room.

When we were at LM, we drove to the bus stop each morning so that we could drive back to our room at night. The walk is very long. Overall the room is set up much like your room at Pop was, but with very nice theming for the LM fans. The theming is not overly girlish, but does feature Ariel and crew. Otherwise, the room was great as a place to sleep and close to the Flipping Fins pool which is nice. It is a little bit of hike to the other pools.

The Cars Suites have their own pool which I believe is the quiet pool. It is adorable in its theming. It is also a short walk to the Nemo pool from the Cars area.

I don't think you are crazy for paying more for a difference experience that affords you a better vacation and gives everyone a little extra personal space. Each time we go to Disney, we decide what is important to us to experience and then make a decision based on that. When we chose the LK Suite, it was because staying at AoA and enjoying the resort was a "must do" and it was a shorter trip. When we stayed at LM, it was because we wanted to be able to stay longer for the same budget.
