Hi All, We are doing a 2 night Sat/Sun stay prior to a 4 night cruise. We are a family of 5 with 3 boys. They will be 16, 12 and 8 at our trip date. I would like to stay at a value resort and have narrowed it down to either the Cars AoA suite or the All Stars Music Family Suite. The price difference is fairly significant.

Art of Animation- $852
All Star Music Family Suite- $632 (booked on expedia)

Everywhere I read everyone recommends AoA and I can see the theming is great. However is it worth over $100 more per night? We will likely spend time at the pool Sat night then a very long, full park day on Sun going to MK and AK. Mon morning we might want to wonder about until the transfer bus picks us up.

My thought was as long as the bed is comfortable we'll be ok. Also I think I read that the All star family suites are in two of the close buildings so maybe there will be less of a walk.

Thoughts and/or what would you do?

For a $230 difference, I’d stay at ASMu unless you are just in love with the theming of AoA and/or its pool.

Your boys would each have their own "bed" at Music. At AoA two of them would need to share a bed. For many families that can be a tipping point.

Enjoy your vacation!

Very good point! I didn't realize the ottoman became a bed and I think we'll like that. Thanks!

We stayed at AoA on our first trip, but for our trip this Nov. we couldn't justify the higher cost to stay there and chose ASMu instead. I've researched the ASMu suites like crazy, LOL. The one thing to be aware of is that the pull out sofa and pull out chair have thicker, more comfortable mattresses than the ottoman does. Some people have said that only very little kids are comfortable on the ottoman. It's not a problem if your kids are willing to share the couch if they need to, but mine hate sharing beds. We're going to order a blow up bed and will probably have 1 person sleeping on that each night instead of the ottoman. Maybe not a problem for 2 nights, especially if your 8 year old is on the small side, but my youngest is a big-for-her-age 9 year old and we'll be there for 6 nights.
