AoA - Noisy? Beds Comfy?

Help me out here - we're a family of 6 - I'd love to show my kids AOA, and I know we'll at least visit this trip, but should I take the plunge and book there?? I'd save whopping $280 versus my stay at CSR (two rooms, hopefully connected for families), bed comfort and in room quiet is important to us. Can Cars Suite at AoA provide that? We'd lose one bed already - and I'm guessing no trundles available there?

My Friend and I stayed at AOA and were upgraded to a family suite, just the two of us. We REALLY liked it, but it was really too big for just two. I did however say if I ever had kids I would absolutely book it with no hesitation. There was a lot of space, the beds were very comfy and the two bathrooms were great! We didn't find it to be loud at all, mostly because the suites are "indoors" verses motel style of CSR. The master room is a king bed I believe and the pull down and sofa bed are doubles I think.

I was in LM room, so this may not be a fair comparison. I am not a light sleeper and we had ongoing issues with in room noise. No, the neighbors weren't noisy, but there was a constant awareness of babies crying, people coughing, doors closing, etc.

We stayed AoA Cars Suite last September. Our kids were age 12, 9, and 6. The queen bed in the master was very comfy! I was impressed with the comfort of that bed! I didn't sleep on either of the other beds so can't comment on sleeping comfort, but the kids had no complaints. They did prefer the fold down bed over the table vs the fold out couch bed, could just be the 'pretty picture' on the table bed though. We loved having the two bathrooms, tons of room in the master bath. Our room was very quiet. I never noticed any noise coming from below or above us. Our hallway seemed quiet too. I thought AoA was a perfect resort for our "once in a lifetime visit while the kids are young" trip. (although we are heading back to WDW this year ;)) All that being said, if I could have stayed at a mod for only $280 more, I probably would have gone that way. I didn't feel that 2 rooms was an option for us because of our kids' ages. I hope that helps!

I think the beds are more comfy at AoA than Pop and All-Stars. If you want beds rather than a sofa bed, stay with CSR and just spend time touring AoA and plan to have lunch there.

We actually find the indoor hallways noisier then rooms that open to the outside, except for rolling luggage:) As far as neighbor noise, if you have load neighbors it will not matter what resort you are at, you will hear them.

We enjoyed AOA. Loved the space for the 5 of us. The master bed and pull down bed were both quite comfy. The couch bed wasn't, but it also wasn't horrible. We were in Nemo in a lake view right by the elevator, and we didn't hear much noise. Yeah, sometimes we'd hear people, but nothing major. We were worried being right by the elevators, but it didn't bother us at all.

I agree with noise level. There is no way to determine what that will be until you are there. We once stayed at Yacht Club and we loved everything except...... our neighbors were with another group up the hall so every morning, earlier than what we wanted to get up, Dad would come out with son and send him RUNNING up the hall to his friends and then YELL "WE'LL SEE YOU SOON!!!!!!" and then slam the door behind him. Twenty minutes later, the Dad and Mom would come out of the room, slam the door behind them, and YELL, "COMING UP NOW!!!!" because the family down the hall had their door open. Then the kid would come out of the room up the hall and YELL "OK DAD!!!!!!!!!" Then the entire group would go off for breakfast and come back an hour or an hour and a half later and repeat things. So - you can't choose your neighbors in a resort of any kind. And yes, after the second day, I did speak to the Dad and asked him to keep it quiet. Still the same routine but half as loud. We were not happy at all.

And with outside hallways, there are parents who feel the need to have their kids run up and down those outside hallways while the parents are getting ready for the day. I can't tell you how many times we've had kids running around and yelling and even stopping right outside our door for a "fight".

My 5 friends and I stayed in a Finding Nemo suite at AoA this past Spring. We absolutely loved it and had the best time there. Our building (crush side) was not noisy at all - it could be that we were at the end of the hall, but we did have families that stayed quiet near us. I think the noisiest part of the whole resort is the Big Blue Pool, and maybe the food court.
All three beds were very comfortable. No complaints at all!

And like you said, even if you don't stay there, definitely take your kids to visit, they will love it! :thumbsup2

We all would love to stay here again one day - it is just such an amazing resort! :goodvibes

We find the Cars Suites very comfortable and quiet. We have stayed there twice and my two really liked the beds in the main room (however they are pretty young, 9 and 4). My husband and I find the bed in the bedroom comfortable. Of course, at the end of a Disney day, we are so tired that any bed will do! We really love AoA and are staying there again in a few weeks.

Agree with noise comments...we had no noise whatsoever in our LM room at AofA. But on a previous stay at Coronado Springs I heard the people in the room next door non-stop. It just boils down to the luck of the draw. The beds were super comfy at AofA.

We did not have any noise issues in the Lion King suites. Master bed was comfortable but did not use the others, so can't speak to their comfort.

We have stayed in a cars suite and lion king suite. We used all 3 beds in both of them and no one complained about them. We have 2 older teenagers and a young one who slept with us. Every now and then we could hear some sort of noise, like kids running/ yelling in the halls, but really that was only once. and nothing in the middle of the night. We love it there.

We stayed in a Lion King suite last November--and other than really liking the extra space, the two bathrooms, and the decor--I'm not inclined to stay there again. Our first room had an air conditioner leak--so the carpet was saturated and smelled moldy. Our second room was better--but the kids running up and down the hall and the slamming doors were very hard to tolerate for 11nights. The master bed and the pull down were both comfy (according to users) but the pull out couch was very uncomfortable (we each tried it & all agreed). The food at the food court was very good--but it can get crazy loud. We tried POFQ in May and are headed back there again in Sept. I will pay for two rooms before paying for AoA again. :-(
