AoA LM room or ASMo room

Leaving in just a couple of days to celebrate my DD's high school graduation. It's just a mom/daughter trip, still second guessing our resort choice. Would you prefer the AoA LM room or ASMo room? Give me all the reason...thank you in advance.

Frankly I would go with whichever one is less. I've stayed at all the value resorts except AoA because it's always more expensive. I think the only AoA rooms that have inside corridors are the suites so you are still looking at outside hallways but just different theming. I'm pretty sure movies has been renovated recently.

We stayed at AoA in January and loved it. The LM rooms are much more magical than the other recent value refurbs, which are nice but pretty generic. The theming all around the resort is also on another level, IMO. Skyliner access is a great perk, too.

The only downside is that the Mermaid section is a decent trek to the buses/Skyliner/food court. That and the price difference, but only you can decide what's acceptable there.

Newly renovated rooms with queen beds. But with only two of you not necessarily a plus. Basic food court and if all the resorts are not open there that would be it. Bus everywhere. If at back of resort you will have a long walk to amenities.

AoA LM ~
Corrected: BRAND new renovation with two queen (no murphy) beds. Great food court and option to walk to POP or take the skyliner to CBR etc. Bus or Skyliner to parks. Room location determines your walk but resort is pretty enough. Great pools and the decor/landscaping is awesome.

Really depends on price difference and if you plan on eating & enjoying the hotel. But for a special trip I would pick AoA if not too much more. [Took DD for her high school graduation and we stayed at CSR - such a fun trip.]

I would pick AOA just for the extra abilities you get with the skyliner. You can visit other resorts and Epcot/DHS by skyliner. And unless something changes before then, they are only loading one family in a gondola, so if you need a mask break you can have one on the way. I am almost certain the LM beds are now queen. Yes, there’s a walk back there. But I think it’s worth it.

I'd go with Pop Century, if possible. You still get the Skyliner, but it's usually less expensive than the LM rooms and you're not guaranteed to be far away from everything like the LM buildings are.

AoA... the skyliner is amazing and fingers crossed, a lot of people have been getting upgraded to a suite! It isn't a gurantee, but there's a small chance.

They are currently only seating one party per cabin on the Skyliner, so need to remain masked.

OP, I would choose AoA just for the option of riding Skyliner. It's a game changer!

My friend got upgraded from Mermaid to Cars just last week without even asking! As a matter of fact, they wanted the Mermaid room as Ariel is her 3 years old's favorite and they were torn on what to do! LOL

Yes, my friend got upgraded from mermaid to Nemo. It just appeared in their app too. They didn't ask. They were so excited! It was her first trip ever and I was so jealous since I've never been upgraded in 20+ trips.

Had seen not seen that they had done them. EXCELLENT news, especially since they are pricier than the other values.

I just went and looked for pictures - I like they didn't go the murphy bed route. Interesting colors and decor, much less busy than before.

I see you already decided but I wanted to vote for AoA anyway. The skyliner is what tips it over for me. Actually I would pick Pop because you get a better location to the Skyliner and it's cheaper than AoA.

Yeah, I was hesitant but was really impressed with the room! It felt pretty spacious and I really did love the new colors!

If I had to pick one single con, it would be a lot of empty space in the bathroom that I think could have been a larger counter to give more space because with two in the room it was fine, but toiletries for a family of four would have been rough, but that's just me nit-picking!! LOL

Looks like the bathrooms only got cosmetic changes unlike POP, which got a total redesign and more storage than I know what to do with. I guess it was a budget decision.
