AoA Little Mermaid Room vs Pop Standard Room

We are potentially taking two nonpark days to the front of an AKL DVC stay with extended family in September. The plan is to arrive Saturday mid-afternoon and spend the rest of the day and Sunday at the pool and exploring Disney Springs before we hit the parks that week.

It is my DW and I and our 2yo DD. That weekend, there is a $100 total difference between the AoA Little Mermaid rooms and a standard room at the Pop. We have never stayed at either resort. Is the $100 worth it? I know the theaming and the big blue pool are supposed to be super fun but the $100 savings could definitely help offset our food expenses.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I like Pop better. LM rooms are far away from the main pool and I always find the big blue pool super crowded compared to the Hippy Dippy pool at Pop.

No comparison in quality of main pool but for 2 year old I think that would be lost. I would do standard at POP.

I agree with PP's , and would do Pop... if you want to check out AofA just take a walk across the bridge & check it out (the theme-ing really is great).

Another vote for Pop and save the $100 for something else. The walk to and from the Little Mermaid rooms felt excessively long and a deal breaker for us. We are one and done with that resort for that reason alone.

No. Stay at Pop. You'll want a preferred room at Music if you don't want a long walk to your room and so most of your savings will be gone. Plus you'll want to visit AofA, maybe eat there. Your daughter would probably like the little park area by the bridge that connects AofA and Pop.
