I have read that the food court at AoA can be a mad house at times. I am wondering if one was to arrive just as they were opening for breakfast, know what they want to eat before and just try to plan accordingly, could it be possible to get in, eat and get out without having to endure the major rush in the mornings.

In the mornings the earlier you go the better. Otherwise try to eat at off times, like 4 pm.

Of course. :)

You can always send in a brave soul with the refillable mugs and a bag and get breakfast takeaway style and eat at the table in your room.

I stayed at AoA last June and while the food court was busy, there were always plenty of tables. This was to eat all three meals at peak times. I was expecting it to be much worse based on what I read here. You may be lucky and not have an issue. That's how it was for us!
