AoA, CBR or CSR any thoughts?

Heading to the world in Dec with DS 7. I had originally thought about staying at CBR, mainly for the pirate ship water area. Then I got to looking at AoA, which for two of us we would stay in the LM rooms. The LM rooms are away from everything and I vowed after staying at POP that I would never stay at a value again. Not sure if we had really bad luck or it's just the rooms, but that was the loudest resort we have stayed at on property. Is this common in the values? We could even hear the toilets flushing from other rooms. Horrible, didn't sleep much. Today I began looking at CSR. I know I've got to quit looking and decide. Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I'm not a fan of the values; the one time we stayed at them we also found them very noisy -- both room wise and resort wise. We've not stayed at CBR as the theme doesn't appeal to us (we go to the beach every year), but they have a great pool area. We have stayed at the CSR nine times and love everything about it!

When in December are you going? The reason I ask is December is when Pop Warner is there and they usallly stay at the All Stars and a moderate; a lot of people are guessing it will be CBR this year due to the refurb at the POR.

We'll be there Dec 7-21. The whole family will be there til the 15 and we are staying at POR. Kinda wanted to try a different resort for the second half of the trip. Probably going to rule out the values, way too noisy. Thanks for the info on CSR, it looks very nice. How are the bus waits at CSR?

You should be fine then with Pop Warner for the end of the trip.

We always rent a car so we seldom used the buses. However, CSR gets consistently high marks for its bus service (being a convention resort it leaves the buses emptier for the "park guests". Be sure to check out the "unofficial CSR thread" -- lots of great info and reviews there.

I stayed at ASMU last year and did not find it loud at ALL. And we were in the 2nd building from the front.

I am curious about A of A, but love CSR and it feels very deluxe, so that is the route I would go..

I don't know if it was just where your room was or the time of year, but POP wasn't very noisy when we went in 2010. We had a good room location at the end of a walk way. We are staying at AoA this fall and are really looking forward to it.
