Hello!

We are arriving a couple days before the rest of our party and I am going to make little welcome packages for my nieces and nephews (t-shirt, cookie, ADR invitation and welcome letter)

I was hoping that they could receive them when they are checking in. Has anyone done this? Any tips, suggestions, etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've never done anything like this but I'd recommend calling the front desk and asking them. It might be possible to ship them down and pick the packages up when you check in, or have them waiting in your room for you.

1) When I worked Concierge & Front Desk
. . . shipped items (UPS, FEDEX, etc) could be awaiting you at checkin
. . . packages left by other guests, no
. . . packages sent to room BEFORE checkin, no (unless Club Floor)
2) Your best bet is to have them call you when they check in
3) You could bring it to them at that time

I am going to preface this by saying I am NOT am extremist at all. I live life and don't look back but.......

A couple of things here. Are you part of a gathering at all? Are your reservations linked so Disney knows you are all together?

I ask because if Disney accepted a package from Guest A for Guest B and that package contained something harmful, that's a problem. But if Disney knew Guest A was related to Guest B and all reservations were linked together and Guest A could provide photo ID, that wouldn't be a problem.

My last name is extremely, and I mean, extremely unusual. There are about 11 of us in the United States and maybe 40 in the world. It's easy for me to just show ID and prove I'm related to others in my party. But I still wouldn't leave a wrapped package at a hotel desk. And I don't usually worry about this kind of stuff - just thinking about what the hotel will think.
