AOA - Availability Question For Standard LM Room

So I am going to AOA December 10th for two nights and so far, have not been able to find availability for the standard LM room.

Are these rooms released randomly ..or is it actually possible that they are all filled this far out? It just seemed strange to me, so figured I would ask here and hopefully get some more clarification.

Most likely all have been booked already; keep in mind that relative to family suites, there are few LM rooms. BUT KEEP CALLING!!! A CM once told me (don't know if this is true or not) but to try back Mondays at 8 EST as that is when cancellations for Grand Gatherings are processed through the system.

When I went last year, it seemed like they had a whole lot of LM rooms. Of course I know AOA is popular but with it being so far off, it seems strange. I haven't actually tried calling, just cooking through the website. I wonder if that would be the better option. Arghhhgg

It's not that far off for planners. It's actually kind of late in the game. They book fast.

There are not many of them, they are cheaper than the suites and the resort is still new enough to attract visitors. It is not unusual for them to fill up. I think you'll only get in if somebody else cancels.

Booked last year on July 4th for the same time frame and had no problem. Hoping something happens and the rooms become bookable.

Availability opened up today for LM rooms! So it does seem that on certain timeframes, room are held ..because we booked one room and more are still available, so I can't imagine it was that large of a cancellation.

More likely, rooms all go back as one lump at certain intervals.

It doesn't make any monetary sense to hold back rooms for later bookers.

When I worked as a front desk manager at a Hilton property, we held back certain room types so that higher rooms rates would book instead, if the want was high. We would do that around holidays and big events. So it's definitely possible.
