For some reason,I had been under the impression that only The Big Blue would be "gated entry",but Saturday I got a good look at the Cozy Cone Pool and it definitely appeared to have a black fence around it.:)

Am I correct then,in assuming that all 3 pools will be "gated entry"?

Also, will the Cozy Cone Pool Cabanas be "first come-first serve" or will they be on a "rental" basis? Thanks.:)

The Cars Courtyard is the most amazing thing I have ever seen at any of the WDW resorts-especially at night. It is absolutely amazing!:)

I read on another fan site that the Cozy Cone Pool will definitely be gated entry, but still can't find any info on the Cabanas.:)

Does anyone have Cabana info?Thanks.:)

I also read that all pools will be gated. :) Thank you for sharing the picture!!

It is being reported on another thread and on another site that the Cozy Cone Cabanas will be FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED.:)

That should be VERY,VERY interesting!!!!:)

Does this mean some way of controlling access to make sure only that hotels guest use the pools?

Because most every state has regulations requiring child proof gates around pools for safety.

Yes. They are gating the pool to make sure only guests of AoA use it. I'm guessing it will be linked to some type of keycard or wristband, but that is pure speculation right now.

I am planning my first real trip to WDW resorts, so excuse the dumb question but if we're staying in cars does that mean we can't go into the Nemo pool if it is "gated" or just not people from other resorts?

Not a dumb question at all. ;)

They gate the pool to keep out those from other resorts. If you are staying at AoA, you are welcome to use any of the pools or other amenities at that resort. Doesn't matter what section you are staying in. ;)

Welcome to the DIS! Have fun planning your first trip. :teeth:

OK another question

Right now we're booked at AS Movies for FD in September. We might go down a night early and get a "room only" for one night at AoA.

My understanding is (and correct me if I'm wrong) we can use the resort both days - check in and check out as long as we're out of the room by 11 am. Is that correct? Or would we be unable to enter the pool area after 11 am?

Not trying to pull a 'fast one' but I would love to know if I'm right or if I need to look at a different plan (overall hope is to switch our whole reservation to AoA but right now there isn't any availability).

Thanks! I think my twin boys (going for their 3rd birthday) would go nuts if we could see Nemo and not swim there! It was a tough call between Cars and Nemo for them, but we figured they would love Cars and swim at Nemo. So glad it's going to work out as planned!

You are able to use the facilities of the resort until midnight after you check out. Have fun!

Many pools at WDW have no fence or gate whatsoever.:)

Yes,WAY cool!LOL;):)

The situation where Guests save pool chairs with towels all day even when they are not there will look like child's play compared to "Cabana saving"!LOL:)

LOL. You got that right. Hey look at the bright side, more security guard job openings for those looking for work.

They will probably be treated just like the chairs. If a towel and belongings are there it's taken.
