Anyway to sell one contract but retain the points?

I have three Boardwalk Contracts, all same use year and member number. I'd like to sell at least one, but retain the current use year points associated with it. Anyway this can be done or do the points always stay with the individual contract?

Have the close by date listed after you’re use of the points and or strip the contract and transfer the points to yourself. Then list the points showing first use year.


ETA: apparently you can’t transfer to yourself. Maybe book a trip using those trips and then list for closing after dates of said trips? I’ve seen that method used a gazillion times on other resell sites. Good luck either way!

Points don’t transfer when under the same membership.

OP, no, there is no way to sell the contract and keep points associated with it in your account for future use,

You need to use them in a reservation and delay closing until after the trip. As long as they are there, they go with the contract.

This something I think is easily confused at times, When in the same membership, and same resort, they act like one big pool of points, but individual contracts stay individual contracts.

Now, if you had a 2nd membership, you could transfer the points out, but with only one, can’t save them and sell.

If you have any trips booked you can modify to use points all from the contract you want to sell....like borrow them. Then set close by date after that trip. You can transfer to another member. Could use David's and get money for them.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Been to the World twice already this year, so no trip planned. Food and Wine is our thing, but without the meals, demos, and all the other special events, it's not the same. They were already pairing that stuff down prior to Covid, and I don't see it coming back anytime soon. Really was just trying to save some points in case we wanted to go to Aulani for a big trip while getting rid of contracts we probably won't be using for a long while. You could transfer them to someone and if you went later use that cash to supplement with a rental or points transfer if you were into your next UY.
