Anytime Fastpasses

I recently upgraded to APs after I had already booked by fastpasses for my December vacation. I linked the tickets immediately so as not to lose those fastpasses, and it seemed to work. Today I went into my account and noticed that all my fastpasses were gone. Called Disney and they said there was a glitch and they had to re-link my APs and then book my fastpasses again. All of the new fastpasses were booked as anytime fastpasses.

Has anyone had this before? Does that literally mean we can ride at any time? Also, I noticed that these fastpasses are not counting towards our limit of 3 advance fastpasses. Does this mean I can theoretically book 3 more per day now? Thanks in advance!

Ha thank you. I think I’m worried of breaking the rules and having Disney cancel my fastpasses!
They won’t be canceled.

Anytime FPs are always bonuses in addition to your 3 pre-booked FPs.

Go and enjoy your 6 FPs per day...+ more as soon as you finish the regular 3. Anytimes don’t interfere with booking additional regular FPs each day.

Awesome, thank you! Looks like this inconvenience has turned out great for us

BUT, and this is a biggie, do not attempt to use one of your booked FP outside the 1 hour window (no 5 min early/15 min late) If you do this it will use your anytime instead.

So yes, OP you have the ability to use 6 a day (or more) but you will have to be a bit more careful about when you scan in.

As for what rides they are good for, they should tell you if you click on them. It's possible they are not valid for the few hard to get FP, but it's also possible they are.

Thanks! Interestingly, our anytime fps are tied to the specific attractions we had booked previously, they just don’t have return windows.

Our last trip, we got several bonus anytime FPs that just randomly showed up in MDE.
We even got 2 rides out of one Anytime FP as it didn't clear after the first use.
I have read that anytime FPs cannot be used for Tier 1 rides, but we had no problems using them in TSL or TT in EPCOT.

That's awesome! Our anytime passes are different, as they are actually tied to specific attractions. Like we have 4 fps for Slinky Dog on the day we intend to go to Hollywood Studios, but it does not have a specific return window and it is not counting towards our 3 advance fp bookings. As a result, I was also able to book advance fps for Alien Swirling Saucers.

The only time that is correct is when your FP was for a Tier 2 ride. Whoever posted what you read must have left that tidbit of info out
If a Tier 1 ride went down your replacement FP would be for a Tier 1 ride.
More than likely that's where your bonus FP came from, a ride going down, even if it's for a brief moment, during your FP window.

If the standby line for SDD is anything like when we were there, you will be happy you have the FPs.

There are lots of different types of anytime fastpasses. Really hard for any generalized rule. We have some for our upcoming trip good for everything except Pandora, Frozen and all TSL rides. So it's not always as simple as Tier 1 / Tier 2

These were bonus Anytime FPs, not a replacement for a down ride. We ended up with 4 bonus ones (unrestricted) for no reason (a Disney bonus?) and 2 that were a replacement for a ride that went down.

I never said otherwise. I was addressing PP's comment that they had read no anytime FP was good for a Tier 1 ride.
Only that the only time you will see a FP that is only valid on a Tier 2 ride is when it's a FP to replace a Tier 2 ride that went down. That is a generalized rule that doesn't change. When a ride goes down, the FP will always match the Tier (if there was one) for that ride.

It seems that you can add regular FP+'s to the multi use, no matter how you get them. We have had these from DVC previews. However; For our upcoming trip in December MDE alerted me us that one of our FP+'s we no longer available at the scheduled time. Since we had other FP's planned during the only available times for SDMT. So today I went in and manipulated our FP's, grabbed the SDMT that was available and grabbed a third FP+. After all this we now have three scheduled FP+'s AND the multi use given by MDE. BONUS lol.
