Anything thanksgiving Week?

We are quickly planning our getaway to the World.
We will be there Thanksgiving Week.
Anything special going on in the parks or resorts?

We will also be there then, and would like to know. All 9 of us are taking a very large van, all the way from Texas to stay at POR. We couldn't get reservations for Thanksgiving Day at our resort, so we are headed to Destin.

We are flying from San Antonio to Tampa. A very last minute trip so we are unsure if we can even get dinner.

Anything special going on in the parks or resorts?

We've been twice during Thanksgiving week. There is nothing special planned in the parks nor at the resorts. Many of the restaurants will add turkey dinners to their menus. The weather is perfect. The high daytime temperatures last year were in the upper 70s and low 80s. We didn't need jackets in the evenings or at night. All the decorations are up at the parks and resorts for Christmas. Back in 2008, the Osborne lights were not up at HS. Last year, they were.

The weekend before Thanksgiving through the Tuesday before Thanksgiving are somewhat crowded. Beginning that Wednesday through the weekend, the parks get very crowded. It's still a nice time to go with the beautiful weather and the Xmas decorations.
