We'll be at AK on Father's Day. We're staying at ASMo. What is available to make the day special for the fathers in our group?

Thank you

I would really like to know this to.
Our first full day is Father's Day!

We are usually in WDW on Father's Day and I've never found anything "special" going on in honor of the day. We go to HDD on Sunday--my husband's favorite. Unlike his philosophy, I recognize the fact that he's a Father, even if he isn't MY father. I, on the other hand, am not HIS mother. Oh yeah, that's another post. . . ;)

As I noted on this forum last year, for Father's Day WDW will go the extra mile to assure that all fathers leave the parks with much lighter wallets.

We were there last year and about the only thing I noticed for Fathers' Day was a special Fathers' Day pin--although many CM's wished DH a happy Fathers' Day which we thought was pretty special.
Hey Tess-for Mothers' Day did you get the "this is a day for your kids to give you a gift" excuse, too? ;)

I think it is pretty bad of Disney not to recognize Fathers in some way on Father's Day. Don't they have a Mother's Day brunch or something??

I know a lot of Fathers in the World are dead beats but there are some good fathers out there & they need to be recognized for their hard work just like Mothers.

My husband is a wonderful dad (and husband)
My son is one lucky kid to have such a great role model to look up too. Of course I am very lucky too ;)

I think it would be nice to have some kind of special Father's Day brunch also. JMO, of course ;)

Then in some respects, every day is Father's Day at Disney?

It's been the same line for 15 years now--"You're not MY mother. . ." We go out to eat and my husband works in the yard all day thereafter--not this year though. . .the weather was awful! We went out to dinner rather than brunch (his Mother was here and our son had to work during the mid-day), but he managed to work outside most of the day after Church until time to head for dinner.

As far as a gift goes--haven't seen one of those in I don't know how long--my kids are only 15 and 12, don't drive, and we live 15 miles from the nearest shopping area. The way I see it, they don't have the opportunity or the assistance to do anything more than tag along for a meal. :D Cue the melancholy violins. . .

So do you have to also buy a gift/card for your MIL? I always take care of this for DH--sometimes I think he just doesn't have a clue:( Oh yeah, another favorite is "you don't need a gift, we're going to Disney in a month"-yes, honey for that response you will pay dearly;) Gotta love 'em:D

I did buy the Mom's Day gifts for his and mine. Since I got the "you're not MY Mother" line--Nope. . .that's his problem. ;)
