Anything special for last FITS?

Acoording to the schedule, the last FITS will be on October 6. I have a PS for BOMA that night and now I'm wondering if I should be in MK that night instead because it will be the last of those fireworks. Does anyone think or has heard whether Disney will do anything special that night because of that? Unfortunately I am leaving the day before the new Wishes starts on October 9.

I doubt they would have anything special for the outgoing fireworks show, they didn't in '99 for the outgoing Epcot show, but you never know with Disney.

We must be on the same travel schedule! We arrive on the 1st and leave on the 9th in the am and boy was I sad to hear we'd miss Wishes by only a few hours. :-((((

But I've got all my fingers crossed we all get lucky and get a sneak peak at Wishes on the 6th. I know they soft previewed Illuminations for several days just prior to the press event. It was nice watching the old show go out, then seeing the new one the next night.

I'm not holding my breath but in the past they have always tested prior to press events so let's hope we get lucky.

Yes, I was sad too when I realized I was going to "just" miss Wishes on October 9!

I think I probably will change my BOMA ps to another night and keep my fingers crossed that we may get a preview on October 6. There are also fireworks on October 1 & 4 so maybe we'll get lucky between all those nights!

Well, I'll just add my wishes for, um, early "Wishes"! I'd be nice to catch them before we leave. I'm not sure, though, what they'd do that was "special" for the last night of FITS; maybe let someone slide down with Tink?

And are we a bunch of synchronized DIS folks or what? Check out those Countdown Clocks! Maybe we should start a "Doing the Arriving October First Dance" thread!

We are leaving the 7th in the evening.. and Im sooo bummed that we may miss Wishes as well. Even though we are going back in January, my parents are coming down with me and the 3 Dkids and I'd like to see them with my parents!!! My schedule has us at MGM on the 6th... NOW I HAVE TO CHANGE THAT!!! lol I may have to park hop back to MK everynight in hopes to catch a glimpse of Wishes. We are also going to MNSSHP on the 5th. Maybe they will preview it then??? PLEEEEEEEAAASSSEE!!! Im also hoping we get to catch Philharmonic and Mission Space!!!

Hey everyone -- I'm right there with ya. We leave this Friday for 12 wonderful days at Disney. I heard from a CM that there is a real good possibility of catching a sneak preview of the Wishes show. So, here's to hoping...

AimeeM -- we are going to the MNSSHP on the 5th as well. Maybe we'll see you there?! Also, where do you live in Pitt? What a small world.

The CM wasn't sure when -- just that they tend to do the sneak previews in the 2 weeks prior to the actual start.
