Last time I was at WDW, it was my birthday. I got free cake, desserts, and even a decorated table at CRT. This time, it will be our wedding anniversary. Does anyone know if the restaurants will do anything special for a couple's anniversary? Is it something that should be arranged ahead of time (say, when making PS arrangements)?

We have had things done for our Anniversary before. Confetti on the table and such. I would use the same guideline as birthdays. Mention that it will be your Anniversary when you make the PS. And do it for the whole week! ;) Each restaurant is different, so I'm not sure what they will actually do. But it can't hurt to mention it! Have a great time, and here's an early Happy Anniversary to you! :)

Sounds great...I'll call back as soon as I can.

Thanks for the info and for the anniversary wishes!

that's good to know.. can't make our ressies yet for ps, but i'll make sure to metion that it is our 4th anniversary.

thanks for the tip!

It's my parents' anniversary on the 24th. We have a PS for Cindy's at 8 PM that night. Even if I didn't make the reservation, can I call the restaurant and tell them that it's my parents' 27th anniversary?

Each restaurant has a different policy for Birthdays and Anniversaries, usually CRO can find the info when you speak to them. Some offer a little cake, some a comp glass of champagne and some a dessert sampler. Be sure to have your occasion noted on your PS and also to mention it again when you check in at the podium.

DU made our ps's for Cindy's and mentioned it was our anniversary that day. They mentioned when we checked in and when we got to our table there was "pixie dust" on the table. We also got a proclamation and a special nice gift that is only for those who dine at Cindys on their anniversary or honeymoon.
We were making our own reservations at customer service at AK for Boma later that night. As we talked we mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. They wanted to add that to the PS but I said it wasn't actually the day of our anniversary. They said they wanted to add it anyway. We got a special song from our waitress, a card signed by many CM's in their home language and a special desserts with Happy anniversary written in chocolate.

We weren't expecting any of it which made it all the more fun.

We bought mickey and minnie bride and groom pins and wore them the whole week. CM's seemed to think it was cool that we were celebrating our 24th honeymoon.

A security guard at the security lines yelled for everyone to pay attention as I went through the line. He announced that DH and I were celebrating our 24th anniversary to the whole crowd who had all turned to see what he was vocalizing loudly about.

We also got a free dessert at Le Celliar even though we again told them that the actual date wasn't for a couple of days.

We very much enjoyed our anniversary week at WDW, rain and all!!

We mentioned that it was my parents' 30th anniversary at Le Cellier. We hadn't mentioned anything when we made the PS and actually didn't go out of our way to tell the server (we were toasting when she walked up and asked what the occasion was). About 15 minutes later she came out with a complimentary dessert that was big enough for the whole table to share. If I remember right it was creme brulee and a couple other things on a large platter. They had used chocolate sauce to write happy anniversary on the platter.

I agree with the plan of mentioning your anniversary early and often wherever you go!
