Anything new at the Dolphin?

Hi everyone:
We are gearing up for our trip to the Dolphin in August. Can't wait!!! The kids are so excited. I was reading a recent post about the Swan and someone had written that the Swan has done away with the minibars. Does anyone know if they did the same at the Dolphin? I would love it if they did, because we do not use the items in hotel minibars and I am a "nut" with the kids, telling them not to touch anything!

Also, what about the rooms? Have they been upgraded with flat screen TV's? Anyone that has been there recently that can comment, I "thank you" for your input.

Hi, I just returned from there. The minibar was in our Dolphin room, but you can refuse the key at check in (we did), so no temptation! The TVs were the same as they've always been. I didn't see any big upgrades in the room (they redid them in the past couple of years, and they are the same as they've been since). We thought our room at the Yacht Club was a bit spiffier, but we had a great view of Epcot and MGM at the Dolphin (parking lot view at YC). The Dolphin's bathroom tile looked worn and the bathroom smelled a little mildewy. Those were our only (minor) complaints! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the hotel.

Also, there is a new Miami style bar at the pool. Pricey, but nice atmosphere for adult time.
