Anything Negative to Say About ING?

I just joined ING last night. The only reason I joined is because my DIS friends (you guys) had nothing but good things to say about ING. I was assured through you guys that if it were something bad, I would have known about it just by reading the DIS. I'm so excited about signing up. DH is going to sign up tonight. I'm getting ready to sign my children up too. I lilke the fact that my Disney money is just sitting there collecting good interest.

I found a offer in my Tax Cut Software for 50 dollars to open a new account. So if you are having problem with referals that a way to go. So just for doing my taxes i made 90 dollars so far.

Maybe this will help one of you out there. I bought Tax Cut by H&R Block this year and there was a flyer. It states "Motivate your money with a $50 bonus from ING Direct" Go to website www.ingdirect.com/taxcut

It will ask for an offer code 58978755

Now I dont know if you can do referrals with this one or not. But hopefully it will help a couple of you out there!!
Yes you can still do the referrals. Yeah for ING. :Pinkbounc

I have a question. I have already opened an ING account for me. My husband still needs to open one and I still need to open two, one for each of our two children. Can I refer my husband (he gets the 25 and I get the 10) and can we still enter the taxcut code so that he gets the 50 also? So ultimately he would get 75? Is that possible?? :teeth:

You can refer your dh, kids, whoever you want and they will get the $25 sign up bonus and you will get the $10 but Im pretty sure it cannot be combined with the $50 bonus.

No, one bonus per SS#. $25 OR $50. I will leave it up to you as to which one to choose. ;)

I opened my first ING account in May 2002 to save for our big 18 day WDW trip with my best friend. I have never had any problems with them. To get a comparable rate here on Cape Cod at at local bank in a money market account you need a minimum deposit of $50,000!!!Since we opened our account we have made almost $500.00 in bonuses and interest, much of which paid for spa treatments on our wonderful trip last year. Now I have several accounts for savings with them!! ::MinnieMo

We absolutely LOVE ING Direct! I have tried telling my friends and family about it. I've sent them referrals and everything and NO ONE has signed up! I just don't get it? :confused3 It's a great way to save money for anything (but especially Disney), the service is easy to use and the Customer Service is one of the best I've encountered!

I would say don't hesitate for a moment. All of us Diser's can't be wrong. :earboy2:

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the Tax Cut link! For once, dragging my feet paid off-- I opened my daughter's account with it! Tried to do my son's too, but only let me do one, so I did the basic referral for him. I love the bargain hunters on the DIS!

Glad you asked. I am also concerned with linking my checking account to something that sounds too good to be true, but from what I have read here, I am very tempted to take the plunge.

If you have trouble remembering account numbers, websites, passwords, etc. do what I do and buy a rolodex. My sits on my computer so I have all of that information at my fingertips.

take the plunge!
I have been very happy with them:)
It is a great way to save plus they give you bonus money for referrals :cheer2: ~ how great is that :cheer2: ~ now if i could just get some of my family to realize it is a great deal

I opened accounts for me and my kids last year and it's been great. My kids are actually saving some of their allowance money - whoooo hooo! It's become quite competitive - hee hee hee! I stash away a little here and there, including my saved changed, for Disney. ING is promoting pretty heavily here, and my kids get a kick out of the commercials for their bank! It's been a positive experience all around.

I too have been hesitant about signing up for ING.

The tax cut money really helped me think more about it and I also asked my boss (who is the president of my bank) if he ever heard of ING and what he thought. He said ING is an investment group and gave me an advertisement for an ING account out of a financial magazine he had. He said it looked like a good idea to him.

Well, that was the deal closer, so 4 new accounts and an extra $200 later, I'm that much closer to my financial goal for Disney!

Thanks so much for the info!! :cool1: :cool1:

I just signed the family up last week after hemming and hawing for a while. The lovely folks here at the DIS helped seal the deal for me :) I am also having a hard time having friends/family trust this, but I can't really blame them. However, ING has been around for 4 1/2 years! That helped one friend feel more confident but I'm still having a hard time getting others to trust. Oh well, I still made a nice amount of money just signing my immediate family up :Pinkbounc!

I actually didn't see this thread until after I just opened my account today. My mom referred me and she has been using it for a while. I should make an extra 36 towards my October vacation using this :) And an extra 20 or so for our shorter November vacation too :)

I love my ING accounts! I have one for about every dream.LOL There is the kids accounts, disney, my breast auguemtation, you name it.LOL We have had absoutley no problems and its so easy to transfer money to our checking when we need it. Sometimes i go from ING to checking then to paypal so i have a cc form to secure my funds on! Just a perfect account if you ask me. GO for it you'll love ING.

So, how does one go about starting out with $200? That truly made me perk my ears up!

I'm having a hard time convincing my husband that it's a good idea; I think I'll keep nagging him until he gives in :teeth: Now, just gotta find someone to send me a referral... /heads for the sticky...

By using the TurboTax or Money Link and having 4 people in your family sign up using it. $50 bonus for each account. :)
