Is there anything I need to know that or tips for the Pirate's League that no one told you ahead of time?

Take your own pirate costume and you will save a ton of money! My son was 7 when we took him and he loved it! We did buy a hat and shirt and pictures so it was more expensive then I thought, but he got to fight Jack in the tutorial across the street right after we came out so it was well worth the cost! The pictures we took with my son and Jack were priceless!::yes::

We did a Pirate day. All of us did the make overs (adults included) pirate:and we booked them around 3:15 with the thought to be finished by 4:00pm. They have a Pirate Parade at 4pm so the kids did that and had a blast. Then that evening we did the Pirates & Pals Firework Cruise - got to meet Hook, Peter Pan and a few others! It was an incredible day! I wil NEVER forget seeing my kids sword fighting down the CR halls! They had so much fun! :cool1:
Money saver and hints - we brought our costumes. After Halloween you can get awesome discounts. I think the kids liked looking different and the costumes fit well. (with a few alterations at home;))
Also, the photos are included if you do photo pass (or is it Memory Maker now?) They also include the Parade shots and the visit from a famous Captain...and it's not Hook! ;)

We have done Pirates league a couple times with our kids and they have loved it every time. The one thing I would suggest is having babywipes or make-up removal wipes back in the room to get the make-up off (that was the biggest pain for us!)

Enjoy and get lots of pictures!

I second this!

You will save money by bringing your own pirate costume for the kids, for sure. At the time we went, there were only 2 available for boys: Jack Sparrow and a Skeleton Pirate. Both were around $70 each. I believe there was one for girls, the pink one, and then of course a mermaid like one.

Like most CM's at Disney, be ready for all the CM's to be in character the ENTIRE time. They will laugh and joke with you if you even attempt to have a normal conversation with them or ask questions. LOL. Just an FYI. ;)

Definitely do Photo Pass or Memory Maker because they do a GREAT, FABULOUS job at taking pictures afterwards. :goodvibes

And I second this! My daughters had a great time doing this on our last trip and we have resies for our next trip in December. My DD3 did the mermaid and DD7 did the pirate. The both looked great. DD7 just wore a black tshirt and jeans that day and it was fine. You don't have to go all out on the costume because their faces and accessories look so good!
