anything for october yet!!!!

FYI you might want to try the discount rates and codes board here on the Dis, although people are using this board a lot for these types of questions, this board is not for discount promotions it is more for themes or celebrations Disney does and has done in the past. The discount rates and codes board will have more activity with more up to date information than this board.

Some are reporting receiving Oct pins over there now.

I too am waiting. I booked outside Disney. Hopefully they will make an announcement and I can get it! Is it crowded it October???:yay:

I just renewed my TouringPlans subscription, and many dates in October are reported as being the lowest 10% in attendance for the entire year. I am not going to give specifics because that would be wrong, but just wanted to share that October for the most part looks pretty slow. We went in mid- September 2009 and it was the best trip ever. We were able to walk-on most rides. I am really hoping for the same experience in mid-October :worship:

I looked on Mousesavers.com and did a search on their site for "past Disney discounts".....in 2009 and 2010, the discounts for October thru Dec didn't come out until the middle of August. ( If you have some time you might want to check it out.)

My Mom told me while she was watching CNN this past weekend, they reported that 61% of Americans say they are NOT taking a vacation this year.
If there is NOT a discount for October, unfortunately, we will not be able to go this year......the price of the transportation to get there from Wisconsin has really gone up, whether it be flying or driving. That is hurting our budget much more than the price of park tickets going up a bit. The price of the trip insurance thru Disney also went up...it is now $69.99 per adult.

So, don't be discouraged. We may have to wait until mid-August once again for the discount but it's worth waiting for. :beach:

Thanks for the information - I am ***patiently*** waiting and hoping for free dining. I do nto have a Disney Visa - and I think it was required for earlier discounts, so I am not sure what I should do. I am booked into a mod right now.

Also booked for October and wishing for FD, there will be 6 of us and this would help on spending! Also looking forward to MNSSHP!!!

I need some Xanax to get me through until WDW announces discounts for OCT! LOL. I keep having nightmares that I can't afford the trip. I haven't budgeted for a full price trip. Not good I know. My mother is patient as a saint waiting. I wish I could be like that.
Please WDW announce some kind of discount for us!

I know universal and disney are two seperate venues but just got a discount for universal only good tilll oct 6th..and then not starting up again until Nov 22nd

I am really getting scared disney is not going to give a discount for october. it seems they dont need to it is a popular time of year with food/wine halloween etc..i really hope I am wrong, but I am bracing myself to pay full price..I am kicking myself i didnt book the bounceback offer..I will not be making that mistake this upcoming trip.

everyone can still hope for room discounts, but since food and wine has been going , the chances of free dining have been way down.
this year may be different but prob not!
good luck to all

Not sure if this helps anyone but the current bounceback offer is 40% off for most nights in october.

I called today to adjust our reservation and talked with the rep quite a bit about current and potential promotions. It ends up that the emails from Disney have been hitting my spam folder instead of coming through to my inbox. She gave me a few helpful hints in dealing with my email spam settings and encouraged me to check the spam folder regularly.

She offered to change my preferences so that any potential offers would be snail-mailed to me to be sure that I didn't miss anything. :) She also indicated that we should be sure to keep an eye out as we get closer to our dates for promotions that would be more appropriate for our trip.

Not that she "said" anything about what is or is not coming out. It is just a good reminder to keep trying to wait patiently.

I called today and received the free dining for October. DH and I just saved over $550. And the best part is that I had already paid it off, so this is a big big bonus.

I also called and got the free dining beginning on the 23rd. I had to make a one-day resort only reservation for the 22nd, but we're saving over $725!!!

Where did you see this free dining offer? I'm booked from Oct 14-23. Am I eligible?
