Anything comparable to the Stitch hat for WDW?

Hi, everybody - got a question. My family has booked a trip to WDW resort in September, involving multi-night stays at Disney hotels. Are there any virtual rewards similar to the Stitch hat at DLR for something like this?

No. There are not any virtual prizes for booking a stay at a Disney resort. If there was, at all, any virtual prize for staying at a Disney resort, we would have found it this past week as we just returned from our WDW vacation. lol.

Man, that's no fun, is it? :guilty: That's a huge dissapointment to me, as it is to many others, I'm sure. Oh well, thanks for the info.

Honestly, I find it to be a disappointment for people who live an hour away from Disneyland too (myself included). It just wouldn't make sense for me to book a $600 minimum (the cheapest deal you can buy is $270ish per person, minimum of two people) vacation to a park that I can get to so easily and have an AP for. At least for someone who would normally be going to WDW because it's closer, paying that amount to go to Disneyland is more justified.

Not true. I was able to book a stay at the Radisson (a good neighbor hotel) for just myself to get the stitch package. It does NOT have to be at a Disneyland hotel specifically... a "Good Neighbor" hotel will work as well. The difference is that you *DO* have to book either online or thru a Disneyland reservationist. You can not book thru the other hotel.

For an hour a way drive, you could probably do an over night stay with a 1 day ticket. As long as you don't activate the ticket, it should be good forever then you *could* use it during the AP blackout days if you ahve one of those.

Maybe WDW will have dumbo ears!

Maybe it was different whenever you did it, but I was looking on the site and they were promoting it saying "for as low as $270" (I forget the exact amount but it was in that range) and underneath that it said "minimum two people." That particular price tag was for a Good Neighbor Hotel. Maybe they're lax on that? Maybe it's a newer policy? No idea.

It would probably STILL come out to about $270 for just one person. I've looked at the hotel prices in the area, since I have a friend who was going to try to come out here and the Good Neighbor hotels still cost quite a bit (heck the not so great, non-Good Neighbor hotels can cost quite a bit). Which is still too much when you live here and go to Disneyland on a constant basis. The AP was a lot to begin with, and on blackout days we only have to pay $30 to get in, so it wouldn't be worth it to buy a $50-70 one day ticket. If I was going to spend that kind of money for one day, I'd much rather upgrade my AP rather than buy only a ticket.

That's ok, I didn't want that stupid Stitch Hat anyway. Sour grapes! Alright, alright... so I really DO want that stupid Stitch hat... lol well, maybe someday. I've always wanted to see how the other coast lives... :woohoo:
