Anything coming after Dennis?

The pictures can be found from viewing the profile and following the home page link.

First time using the camera so some pictures are not all that good.

Thanks for the pics! Things look bad but not too bad.
Last year when Frances come through North Carolina she left the same mess.
How strong was Charlie?

:wizard: Go Away Storms!! :wizard:
It looks like it will miss FL. Yeah!
I hope the little things behind her don't develop into anything.
:goodvibes

I just wanted to add a little caution to this thread. I see there are some posters who would try to get here early so they can beat the storm here. That is not a wise thing to do. While WDW may be "relatively" safe, you are much safer staying out of the path of the storm. Tornados develop in certain quandrants of the storm, and there is no saying when or where a tornado will hit. In addition, Cast Members need to secure their own homes and property. Floridians will be evacuating to the area putting a further strain on WDW and its Cast Members. These are just some things to keep in mind when deciding to embark on the "adventure" of riding out a storm at WDW. If you are in the middle of your vacation when one hits that is one thing. Iam talking about the people who move up their travel plans to get here prior to the storm. It's really not a smart thing to do.

I mentioned it in one thread but don't think I could actually do it. I couldn't risk my family's safety just for another day at Disney. Not to mention the threat of a tornado freaks me out. There is not way I could purposely put myself into the center of a storm that bad.
Good post though. Hope others read it too. It doesn’t look like anyone has anything to worry about anytime in the next week or two. Emily is moving too far south and the little things behind her haven't done anything yet.
Still keeping my eyes open. You never know what kind of weather you will have until you are leaving. - only 9 more days (finally we are in the single digit count down - not being very productive at work :rotfl: ). YEAH!

I'm 9 days away too, I'm NOT BEING very productive at work either... :rotfl:

DAY 8!!!
I don't know how I will get work done for another week! I am too excited about vacation. I will pretend that this vacation won't fly by as fast as all the ones in the past have. I won't let myself start packing until next week sometime. - But I can make the list now! :rotfl:

As far as the weather I can't beleive how strong Emily has gotten. Sure am glad she isn't headed this way. I do feel for the people in her path.
This is what weather.com has to say about the storms behind her:
Elsewhere in the tropical Atlantic, an area of low pressure midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles has some potential to develop into a depression during the next day or so as it pushes westward. Thunderstorms continue to fire in the vicinity of the low.
I hope it doesn't because that will probably put it our way around the time of my vacation! :wizard: Stay away storms! :wizard:
 :teleport:

I am 2 weeks away, and I am jumping out of my skin with excitement.......
Forget the kids, I really don't go to Disney for them.

When we first started planning vacation for this year I wanted to go to a nice beach. Stick my toes in the sand and sip on ice cold tea. Then we started to see how much it was going to cost me to do that and my DS 5 wouldn't enjoy it as much as I would. Then I broke down and decided to trade my relaxing beach vaction for a run full speed Disney vacation so my son could enjoy it. Last time he went he was 10 mo. old and doesn't remember it. Now that it is only a week away I think I am more excited than any beach vacation! I LOVE the beach but am sooo looking forward to Disney! :jumping2: :thewave: :jumping2: :fish:
