Anyone's kitty do this-weird?

That's funny so many cats drink running water, I kind of wish my cat did this, it sounds cute. Mine goes into the shower as soon as I get out and laps up the fresh water from there.

We have DD cat while she is living in an apartment that doesn't allow pets.

Her cat has a morning ritual - she jumps in the tub and waits for me to turn on the water. She hits it and plays for awhile and then stickts her head in the stream and starts to drink the water.

I loved reading about everyone else's cats. Its so funny to watch - I never knew this many cats liked water.

My kitty loves his water bowl fountain - that really is a great idea.

Tigger also likes to drink shower water, and if given the chance, he'll open the sliding shower door and come on in to drink. Sometimes, he'll do that while you're still in the shower, and boy, does that cold air feel good.

As a kitten, he'd actually come into the shower while you were in there and get a bath. At some point, he decided that he didn't like that so much, which is too bad, because he was always so soft and smelled so good after that with all that loose hair gone.

My kitty is probably the ODDEST cat on earth! Not only does he love water but he will jump in the bathtub with you!!!! He is a black smoke persian and you ought to see him with 10lbs of dripping fur

Smokey will wait patiently for us to get out of the shower and then lick our feet and legs before we towel off completely. This is the same cat that come running when she hears us in the laundry room and perches herself on the edge of the washer with her head ducked down watching the water come in as we load the clothes.

Back in college I had one of those old free standing tubs with feet in my apartment. They always had wide lips. Fluffy would insist that I start the tub faucet to a slow trickle and she'd lap away contentedly.

One of my mom's cats does this- he meows for her to turn on the bathroom sink!


One of my cats likes sink water, and one doesn't. One goes in the tub sometimes and I have a dripping tub faucet that needs repair, I do not want the cat drinking from pools of dirty tub water!

Yep, I had a Maine Coon, and he loved to drink out of the bathroom sink. He would sometimes drink out of this bowl. He also chirped, but that was mostly when he would spot a bird right outside the window and was quite excited. I've read that Maine Coons are the most "dog-like" of any cat. When my daughter was in high school, he would know when her curfew approached, and would go and sit by the front door and wait for her.
