Anyone's gas under $2/gallon yet?

I live just outside Chicago and we just broke under the $3.00 mark. Anyone paying closer to $2.00 a gallon should do a big banana dance and never move anywhere near Chicago.

I paid $2.99.9 yesterday and I was seriously happy!

The lowest I've seen is $2.59 .

Yep, $2.59 is the lowest I've seen. Oddly enough I traveled over 20 miles on the same road to and from DS's soccer game on Saturday. I passed three Sheetz stations. The first & last were $2.59 but the one in the middle was $2.79. Of course, the most expensive one had no nearby competition.

$2.74 is the lowest I've seen. I'm just thrilled its back under $3.00, nevermind two dollars. Gas has dropped $0.55 in the past two weeks. I'll take that! (But I do miss the days of $1.50 gas)

There was a place in Hampton yesterday selling it for $1.68. They're in a price war with the station across the street. It made the local news when they had traffic blocked with a literal mile-long line and the police had to be called to direct traffic.

Yep...and these two stations are right down the street from where I live...I have to turn between them to get home! THE TRAFFIC WAS AWFUL! (although it was interesting to see "our" station on the news!)

These two stations fight regularly. This one went lower than any of the other wars though.

But, I was not about to deal with those lines...so we went somewhere else for our gas!

$2.17 in Central Iowa as of yesterday. I can get $.10/gallon off with a coupon at the grocery store mini-mart, but you have to go inside to pay and I always end up spending that savings on a soda or something, so don't really come out ahead.

I'm curious to see what price Costco has, they are usually cheaper, but it's 25 miles away so I don't buy gas there unless I'm nearby for some other reason.
