Anyone Work for Marriott Reservations or Marriott?

Hello DISers~

I'm thinking about getting a part time job and it was brought to my attention that we have a Marriott Reservation center in our area. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with working at Marriott in general and more specifically, in reservations? I would appreciate it! Thanks!

I worked for Marriott many years ago one summer and they were great to work for. I don't know if they still do it, but the room discounts were wonderful!

I know someone that starting working at Six Flags Great America when Marriotts used to own it. He started in the amusement park in the summer, when he graduated, he started working in the amusement park office and when they sold the parks, he moved to the corporate office of Marriotts. So I guess you can say he moved up the ladder. I'm pretty sure he is based in Chicago. His younger brother was just talking how he got all the brains of the family-but this guy runs his own excavating business-so he is just using the other side of the brain.

We have a call center in San Antonio and one of my dd friends worked there while in college. She liked it and I seem to remember them being pretty accomodating with her schedule.

Marriott.com has a link to careers on their website. The site also lists opening in your area and an online application.
