Anyone with kids who LOVE late dining??

I think the best advice some mentioned above - what time do you typically eat at home? Some families eat at 5 so early is for them. Some more like 7 so late would be a better fit. This will be our 4th Disney cruise and we always selected late even the first time when my kids were 5 and 3. My husband & I never got home from work before 6pm so our kids always ate later so it was not a big deal. We like to do the early show and have a snack there but like others have said, like later because you can have the full day if you are in port and don't have to worry about getting back on the ship earlier. However, like all else about a vacation, to each his own!

Just back home from our first DCL cruise and had late dining. Kids are 13 and 8, and even though we generally eat dinner at home between 5 and 6, I think second seating was better. We didn’t have to rush to dinner after the ship left port, and if anyone was hungry between 3-6, plenty of food options available up on deck. Plus, we all loved having the shows, then an hour to reflect and talk about the performances before heading to dinner. Kids would usually head back to clubs until 11 pm or so - I don’t know how!

Our kids are 3, 6, 8, and 11 and we plan to keep our late dining time. Even though they love sleep, they're already used to staying up on activity nights and with the excitement on the ship, they'll be up late anyway. But we're also cruising over the Christmas break so they'll be able to make up their schedule once we return home.
