I'm looking for something in the historical area that has two doubles with a sleeper sofa. I have the Colonial Williamsburg hotel the Cascades reserved, but I can't find any pictures of it anywhere. Since I can afford it, I'm a little concerned that it might be really yucky. Anyone ever stayed there? Thanks! :confused3

Nope. The reservation staff tells me that it is behind the Woodlands- that it used to be the Woodlands until they built the new facility. I would give my eye teeth to see what it looks like. Thanks, though.

See if this helps.

We have stayed at the original Woodlands and the rooms are small. I know they are remodeling and adding a new wing, so this may be what you are looking for. If you want to stay offsite there are wonderful timeshare units, Kings Creek Plantation, Greenspring Plantation. Also, Homewood Suites and Embassy Suites are very close on Bypass Road.

We go to Williamsburg all the time and have a family of 5, so we need 2 beds plus a sleeper sofa, too.
We like the Country Inn and Suites on Bypass road - they have a "suite" that has the extra sleeper sofa. There is also a Marriott Residence Inn and a Marriott Springhill Suites that are on route 60 very close to downtown.
We stay a lot at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites on Route 60. It is right at the end of Bypass Rd and they also have a "suite" that has the extra sleeper sofa. We've always been able to get very good rates there and they are a nice/clean hotel.

I can also vouch for Powhatan Plantation and Greensprings for timeshares - both very nice.

We love Williamsburg! Have Fun!

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg Virginia this summer and loved. It has a huge indoor water park, and a large Chuck E Cheese style arcade. It is not right in Colonial Williamsburg, but it is very close.

I have stayed at both Powhatan Plantation and Greensprings. I highly recommend them. Greensprings had so much going on for my kids when we were there that they never wanted to leave to go do things. My son took Swim lessons for free. They had a dance party around the pool one night. My toddler and I did crafts together one morning. We love it there. We have also stayed at the Country Inn and it was not bad for a hotel.

Greensprings has my vote ......We go there every year for the past 3 yrs last week in August going into Labor day. Love it there

I stayed at Powhatan Plantation and it's really nice. I reserved through www.cheapusagetaway.com. You have to click the red banner at the top to get to it. These are weekly RCI rentals. I called them and they also offered other properties in the area that weren't listed on their website.
