Anyone with experience with "Catch-a-call" device?

You know, that thing for about $50 that you buy for people who have a computer and only 1 phone line? We already have call-waiting, so I keep looking at this as a way to get calls when I'm on-line. How well does it work?

There are also some free on-line services that will let you know when you've got a phone call. No experience with them but one of my sister's uses one.
