Hi there, we're leaving tomorrow  and just wondering what to expect for crowds this week, so if anyone's there today, can you let us know how the crowds are? Thanks much! :cool1:

Not today, today I'm at work, but yesterday and Saturday were very uncrowded. I'm assuming due to the heat as it was hoooooooooooooooooooottttttttttt both days.

Not there today either but we were there last wed and thurs and it wasn't very crowded. We pretty much walked on to all the rides for the first several hours. But yes, it was very, very hot and DS and I spent quite awhile in the animation building in DCA while we waited for the rest of the family to go on some of the "big" rides.

I think the heat really kept crowds down last week. We are going tomorrow for DH's birthday and I will update on crowds when we get there :)

We were at the parks til about 1pm today and most things were 15 mnute waits. I think the heat is keeping most people out of the parks. At least it is for us. We've been heading back to the hotel around 1 and not returning til 5-6pm.

Thanks for the info everyone! Is it still in the 90's?

Anyone have an update on crowds. We are thinking of showing up tonight (Wed.) about 4:30 and staying till closing. Not expecting big crowds except for Fantasmic!

We went yesterday from 10 am to 7 pm. Crowds were so low. I haven't seen it that empty in a looong time! We waited 15 mins for TSMM and for Peter pan. Everything else was under five mins or walk on. Plenty of tables around meal times. It was nice. We really enjoyed it. However the crowds did come just after 6 pm. I imagine a lot of them were heading for fantasmic. We have little ones so we needed to get home. Hope you enjoy your day if you go :)

We've been here since Monday. Crowds have been low, lines for rides anywhere from walk-on to maybe 20 minutes for TSMM. We haven't had to use fastpasses at all. More people did come in yesterday after about 6pm for the cooler evening temps plus Fantasmic and the fireworks. It has been VERY HOT. BTW, the new dragon made it's debut last night. Very cool!

I'd expect BIG crowds in the evening for Fantasmic now that the dragon has arrived. A LOT of pent-up anticipation for AP holders to see her (and the dragon is female!)

So do everything in Frontierland/New Orleans/Critter Country early - it will be hard to walk around there in the evening. But I'm betting there will be short lines elsewhere in the park during the show.

We are going to go for sure and most likely skip Fantasmic. We have plenty of time to see it! We will definately stay away from the ROA area probably starting at about 7 pm. I'm hoping the rest of the park is quiet during Fantasmic and we can get a lot of rides done. Thanks for the info!

.....and the dragon is female!

Sounds about right to me.....;). :lmao:

& more of a question than a comment (since I've never attended when a new attraction brings the locals out en masse):

Even if it's uncrowded during the day, wouldn't it make sense to pick up a few FPs (during the day) for use in the evening.....if the park will be crowded in the evening?

Thanks everyone, we just got back this evening. The crowds were super low but it was soooooooooo hot and humid. I usually love the sun and heat but it was even too much for me! They were saying they were expecting huge crowds to come in starting tonight for the half marathon and holiday weekend.
