Anyone willing to do an in-park favor on 10/30?

Hi all! New to these boards...A friend and I are using our new AP's for the first time to go on Friday night (10/30) for the fireworks. I realize after reading through these threads that we're probably very unpopular with a lot of people who blame the local AP holders for overcrowding, however....

I have to work all day Friday and we won't be able to get to the park until about 8:00 at the earliest. In my defense, I do realize what kind of madness I'm getting myself into! I've seen people (I can't remember if it was here or on one of the other boards) offer to leave fastpasses at City Hall and I was wondering if anyone who was planning to be at the park early in the day but not stay all night might be willing to leave a couple for Space Mountain (and possibly Haunted Mansion) for me. I apologize in advance if this is inappropriate to ask, I don't know the protocol here yet!

It would be a shame to come all the way down to DL and not be able to see the Space Mountain GG overlay, but the complete purpose of the trip is to see the fireworks, so if it doesn't work out, that's ok! Thank you in advance for any responses!

Good luck getting in.....I would not be surprised if they get to the point where new entries weren't allowed in that late (until at least after the fireworks). However, we WILL be there Friday, but will be at the trick or treat party in the evening. I'm not sure if we'll have extra FPs (but may)....will you be able to check the boards before you arrive?

I definitely will be able to check the boards...I'll be in my office in LA until about 5pm or so that day. Also, I can private message (I assume there is a way to do that?) my cell and you could text me as well. That would be amazing, thank you so much!

On another note, I am a little worried about them closing the park to new entries. I would hate to drive all the way down from LA (on a Friday night it will probably take at least 2 hours) just to get turned away at the gate. Is there somewhere online or on the phone that we can check before leaving to see if they are still letting people in?
