I am just about to order all the elements to make my wedding invites but im a bit confused, I know some of you ladies (and men..sorry) used them so could you please let me know if you used the printable inserts or the cardstock (and cut it down to size) to print you're wedding invite, and the extra details that sit inside the pocket i.e reception, directions, accomodation. Was the quality of the card good? Did the colors look like they do on their website?
Thanks a million!!:flower3:

I ordered from cards and pockets- only the pocket part though- It is thick cardstock weight. I used stardream paper to mount my inserts which were printed on white cardsock and I cut them all to size.

i had ordered a sample, but I think the color was good off the website.

I am using the Candy Apple folder, the Black Tie mat and the Pearl invitation and side inserts. As far as the side inserts go, I am getting them from them and not using the cardstock. I really want to make sure that they are all the same size (as it is I need to cut down the length) I am having 5 inserts. It costs a little bit more this way - but I really want them to look right.

As far as my inserts go, I am having the following cards:
1. Accomodations/Park Tickets
2. Transportation (the day of the wedding)
3. RSVP
4. Reception
5. Desert Party

I am using a red ribbon around the center of the invitation that I purchased at the Disney Store around Christmas - it has red Mickeys printed on red ribbon and then where the point is on the top flap I am putting a square of black tie paper and on top of that a square of pearl paper with the same Mickey design that I am using on the inside of my invites. I am keeping it closed with a piece of round velcro.

Hope this helps.

So are the inserts thick or is it just regular paper that would need to be backed?:confused3 Oh why cant things be simple!!!!!!

I just recieved my big box from cards and pockets on monday. I ordered the signature pocket and the mats. Also the enevolpes and the rsvp ones as well. I ordered extra mats to cut out 2 1/2 in squares to make our inital on the front of the invitations where they close. I'm closing them with white velcro dots and place white ribbon around it.

I am using cardstock for all the inserts. The inserts I have are RSVP, Reception, Desert Party and Accomaditions.

Just a head up for everyone. I went for my planning session and I had no clue my invitations should have been mailed already so I'm going crazy to get them done. My planner said my RSVP date should be the first week of july to give enough time to go after the people who havent.

i used cardstock to print the invite/inserts and used text wt. stardream to mount them-just for a little shimmery effect.

Here is what mine looks like

Do you think that the cream cardstock will be ok to print my invites on? I am only panicking so much as I am ordering them from the UK so have to get it right 1st time, delivery will take to long for a second order!

Milk Chocolate pocket fold, then honey graham as a backing and finally the cream. I am having a brown/chocolaty coloured wedding theme so I think these will match well. I am thinking of just having the "smooth" card to stay on the safeside as I cant veiw anything before ordering. What do you think? I really really want them to look good so any opinion will really help!

I think the colors will look great! I went with a matte outer folder, only shimmer in the mounts- I am very pleased with how they turned out!

Thank-you! I think that you're invites are amazing...looking at you'rs makes me a bit more confident to do my own!!

Your cards look great!!! I want to ask you ladies when you are sending yours out. I know that a traditional wedding you usually wait two months before but if you are including accomodation and ticket information as well as a list of events when should I send mine out for a February 2, 2009 wedding??

We sent ours out 3 months before- we wanted a good guest count early since final payment is due 1 month before the wedding.

Accomodation and ticket info is sent with the save the date if you are doing a wishes wedding- they will also send a ticket reminder out to guests, we just got our confirmation for that and we are about 7 weeks out.

Great! I might just make them now though to get it out of the way..lol. I am glad you listed this site for the invitations. I have been searching and couldnt find any good ones.

Up until yesterday I had ever intention of using stardream bronze as my mount and stardream opal as my text/inserts. Well I had a sample page and it looks like it cant be printed on with an inkjet printer. Did you by any chance happen to try printing on it? It doesn't sound like it but I'll take any help I can get, lol

i did not print on it, put i am printing on it to put a monogram on petal cones. My printer is inkjet. i decided not to use stardream since I mounted with stardream and I used glitter for the star going over the castle.(I know you cant see that in the pix)

I think it will print fine- especially if you use the text weight paper.
