Anyone weighing themselves only once a month?

How is that going?

I'm wondering if once a month keeps you more or less focused on your daily goals?

Are you seeing results?
 
After tripping myself up last time I tried to lose weight by becoming scale obsessive I am only weighing once a month. I even went as far as asking DH to hide the scale until a certain date every month!

Since I just started back I can't help you with the outcome yet but we will see how it goes, I am hoping it will keep me focused.
 
I do! And I DO see results!

I used to weigh every day, then every week then every two weeks. I found myself beating myself up regularly and it was a downhill fight.

The scale is the LEAST of my measurements now. I judge this WOE by my health, my clothing and my measuring tape. The difference there is PHENOMENAL compared to the scale!

My goals are consistent so I try NOT to let every up and down hurt me. As long as I keep seeing results I know it's working.
 
Oh I wish I could. I am ADDICTED to that scale. But I am not letting it totally bum me out if it fluctuates. AT least that was how I felt when I stepped on it this am. Maybe I am just tired and not thinking clearly! LOL No really, I am also going by my clothes and the way I feel. Hopefully I have really turned the corner of this way of thinking and it truly is a whole new way of life, not just a means to lose weight!
 

I hate the scale...

I've lost almost 90lbs in last year. While dieting I never weighed myself except for a few visits to the drs office. I went on how my clothes were feeling.

Now I have a scale in the bathroom, I started weighing myself everyday and would be mopey if the number went up a lb or two, so I stopped that and try to get on once a week on Monday morning. I chose Monday's cause I know that is the day I weigh the most after the weekends!!
 
That would be a wonderful thing, to weigh once a month. However, I am diong it once a week. Although after really thinking about it, I may try the once a month weigh-in
