You know- the ones that strap on around your waist? Does that need to be taken off for most rides? And does anyone know where you can get a necklace/holder for your room key/fotl pass? Thanx!

Ah----the good ole fanny pack. Yes, I use one at the parks and love it. I try and find one with a little zipper pocket on the front to keep my front of line pass. I can usually turn it so it rests on my hip for rides with harnesses and seat belts. When/If I get tired of wearing it, I sling it over my shoulder like a small purse.

There also is a passporter pouch by the passporter team. They are a little bigger than just holding your KTTW card. I keep all of our cards & fastpasses in mine

I use a Vera Bradley hipster which works great since I never have to take it off and there is space for camera, special compartment for ID. I got one on sale so it wasn't that much.

When you first get into the park they sell the lanyards for your key card/ticket. We got a couple last year....dd lost her first tooth on one fish two fish and saved it in there while on the ride.

So they will let you on the rides with something like the VB Hipster? I have medical supplies I cannot leave in a locker so I'm trying to figure out what type of bag we are sure to be able to wear and be let on the rides.:headache:

If it can fly off, you can't wear it, so anything over the shoulder is out. It is an endangerment to other riders.

I always wear a slim pouch and have never been told to remove it.

my belly pack holds everything I need (camera, money, passes, keys, band-aids, gum, small sunblock, tylenol ... etc etc) - and the only time it needs to be removed is going through security entering the parks. Otherwise - I never take it off! Holds my stuff and helps hide my real belly!! Wouldn't want to be witnessed wearing one at home .... but perfect for vacation!!

I have a fanny pack that I bought 16 years ago at LLBean. I use it solely for our trips to WDW and Universal so it is a special event when I take it out of the closet. It is not the most fashionable look, but, what the heck. We ususally go to Orlando in July and within an hour of getting to the parks I look pretty wilted anyway. It is large enough to hold everything for the entire family - wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, etc. It has has a zipper front section that is perfect for Express passes at WDW or room keys at Universal for those who do not like wearing the lanyard.
This past April a young woman at MIB told me I could not ride with it. I just explained that I always do. She was skeptical but did ask a manager, who then let me on.

Don't know what Universal charges for the lanyards but I got mine from Office Depot or Staples for a few bucks.

For some reason, I think the lanyards are $7 at Universal...but I am not positive.
