Anyone watching Top Chef ~ Just Desserts??

Yes he cracked. I am so glad he is gone, he was kind of "scary" in the fact he lost control of himself.

It was a shame though. I think he had talent, he just could not deal with the pressure of the show. It is not easy for them.

The personalties on the show are pretty interesting.

I almost wonder if Seth has some type of disability? His other "episodes" (e.g., "The red hots were for my mommy", etc.) aside, when they told him last night that he would not be making his own ice cream . . . the way he was pacing, muttering, and just couldn't get over it, was a little more than "just odd", kwim?

I think the pressure of any of the Top Chef competitions must be pretty intense, but the "Just Desserts" one has got to be worse -- baking is more of an exact science -- and not having those recipes -- it's gotta be hard. I don't envy them.

My first thought was that he may have some sort of OCD or even mild Asperger's/Autism. Then again, he may also have GAD. I thought from day one he had anxiety issues.

Yes it was Seth. He had an anxiety attack after they announced the quick fire challenge. An ambulance was called and Seth was let go from the show.

Interestingly, we got to see that they DO NOT do the quick fire right away like it appears on TV.

They go into the back after the quick fire announcement and then they are given the rules and the producers of the show talk to them while they set up for the quick fire.

I'm thinking the quirky personalities were chosen on purpose...unless all pastry chefs are quirky?

A lot of the attention is going to Seth, but what was up with Heather H. being so angry about the show piece? Did she not eagerly say she would do it? Wow! It will be an interesting season! Who do you think would have gone home if the individual who stepped up, didn't?

I think you're right, and I think he's lucky~ I think he's got potential and it would have been a shame for him to go home for a poor decision like that.

I definitely think Seth has GAD. And I really feel for him.

Heather H is a nasty person. I thought that the week they did the wedding cakes when she was soooo incredibly full of herself and we definitely saw it on this previous episode. Seth may have issues, but I think there's a medical reason for it. I think Heather's excuse is just plain witchiness. I do NOT like her, no matter how wonderful her desserts are.

That 'edible outfit' challenge may have been the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I get that they wanted to see techniques or whatever... but when I think of dessert, I want to actually be able to eat it. Simply making something out of food doesn't make it delicious!

Anyway... I am SO sick of Heather. She is one nasty little thing. I can't believe she complains that Morgan is disrespectful to women when she is disrespectful to everyone!!!

At first I really didn't like Danielle, but she's growing on me. That Heather is just awful.

I am watching still. Some of these chefs are not too bright and ALL of them have serious attitudes. Except maybe the baker guy, Eric.

The last challenge "Black and White" was just not that "WOW" to me. I thought it was boooooring.

So far my favs are Yigit, Zac and Eric.

Looks like the irritating trio are going to fight next week. Did u c how when Yigit won Zac did not hug him or anything only MOrgan did and how Heather was not even happy about it. I agree they are competing but then they dont have to show overy pallyness that diva team is showing. I find it so false.

Us neither, except that they seem to be the most overall-creative and talented chefs competing.

Really, Erica? The challenge is to make a black and white dessert, so you make a mauve one? OK, so the word 'black' is in the type of berry that you used, but Danielle's dessert was a hot mess and you still lost because you didn't follow the challenge.

I liked Erica. She had a positive attitude when compared to the others. I wish that Danielle was booted.

It must be very sad to live in Heather's head. She seems so caught up in being miserable.

I like Morgan, Yigit and Eric out of the final contestants.

What's interesting though is that I think ultimately Erica was booted because they didn't like her ice cream, in addition to the mauve color. She seemed genuinely stunned when they said they didn't like the way it tasted. She at least expected the color to turn out darker, as opposed to that awful Heather who simply didn't care about the instructions.

I was disappointed, because I agree with you... I liked her.

Would someone please tell me when this is on? I watched a couple having stumbled on the very late at night(when they replay them) and I haven't been so lucky again. Yes I could go search for it but I'm being lazy!
