Anyone watching MTV Video music awards?

We started watching the preshow earlier as nothing much else is on TV (I'm a fan of the Olympics but DH has had enough!) so we saw some of the artists arrive. P.Diddy arrived and with lots of people, and one of them was Bruce Willis! Anyone else find this odd? LOL!

I won't watch that one. First of all, I don't know who have of the people are. Second, I think the behavior on this show is less than stellar.

The show or the preshow is not being shown here yet, but I think we will miss it since we are attending a sunset wedding.

Is it just me or was Chaka Khan singing really off key???? I love her, but something wasn't right. So far the show has been pretty good- I love watching the outfits everyone is wearing. It's fun to try to predict who will be on the worst dressed lists

So far, I'm not really impressed with the show. Christina Aguleria looks cute though.

Agree about Chaka Khan. She was awful.

Did the crowd just boo the Kerry sisters? I'm not a Kerry supporter, but that was just rude. They seemed more welcoming to the Bush sisters on the video monitor. Hmm... what to make of that.

Way to go for the Kerry and Bush girls....they all acted very classy and I felt bad for the Kerrys, since they had to hear boos and cheers live...You could tell it made the brunette uncomfortable. Way to go and I hope that helps get a good voter turnout and lots of support for Hurricane Charley victims.

We're watching although DH is less than thrilled Since I'm a mom of 2 teens, I like to keep up on things. I think Beyonce and Alicia Keyes are soooo gorgeous. Christina looks pretty, too.

I agree--Chaka sounded off.

They have really good music acts this year.

I must say that I'm not a big fan of this venue at all. The arena just...I don't know...something about I just don't care for. It looks sorta cheap.

They need crowd control inside the venue. Alicia Keys did not hear her named called because of the screaming. I could barely hear Owen Wilson.

Lots of technical issues tonight. But you gotta remember it's the first time that something of this magnitude has been held in this venue. Another problem is no host, no continuity. Everyone is getting to just do their own thing and it's gotten out of hand.

OTOH...

Usher, Lil Jon, Petey Pablo, and The Terror Squad kicked some major ___!!!! They blew the roof OFF!

I agree about Chaka Khan - she sounded way off. So did Hoobastank and Ashlee Simpson (during pre-show).

My theory on the P Diddy/Bruce Willis thing: PD and Ashton Kutcher are friends and Ashton is dating Bruce's ex... It's just one big happy family.

It's truly difficult to find something wrong with her...I just have to hope she had knobby knees or something. She's gorgeous, has a great voice AND Nick Lachey. Way more than one person should get!!

On the flip side, Hoobastank hoobastunk....and I like them.

Seems like a lot of performers are having a problem staying on key.

OMG!!!

I had chills watching Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, and Lenny Kravitz! Definitely the best performance of the evening. Stevie is timeless, and Alicia and Lenny are so talented. That performance had more heart and energy and soul than the rest of the show combined.

Way to go!

I just did not *get* the stage last night. It was too confusing.

Usher needs to learn to lip sync better. Good dancing though.

Lenny looked HOT!

I couldn't watch most of it though. I think I am getting too old.
