Anyone watching Michael Jackson's memorial?

I didn't quite get what she was holding up. something about a resolution that she said would be debated in Congress. But that it would declare him an American Legend and Humanitarian.

She was so unnecessary.

OMG! Usher is at the casket and this song! I am going to lose it again.

I walked away for a second and I missed that. Was he standing there singing or was it after he finished?

Oh, I know!! They also played it at the Caylee Anthony memorial and I think of that too. :sad1:

Oh that must have been so hard to watch.

Somehow just the fact that the song is appropriate for he that wrote it now gets me--but Usher's obvious and very real grief is what made it so touching:sad1:

WOW, the video of him singing "Who's Loving You" (or whatever it's called) just got to me. He was just so darn cute before he got all...you know. i agree about his smile, just incredible.

The clips of him as a little boy are the ones that get to me.

It's like a part of my childhood is now gone.

If anyone wants to watch this with no commentary, E! is doing a great job.. :thumbsup2

The big hat is being worn by LaToya.....I loved how she was the first one over hugging Usher ( who was great!), We finally really saw Janet well also.

Paris seems very composed and lady like.....I don't understand why Prince is chewing gum but I am sort of old fashioned that way.......I wonder if these kids feel odd being out in such a public way without masks on their faces...I think Prince is going to have a very hard time adjusting to being normal...Those poor kids

BTW, SMokey is still smokin' hot. He looks fantastic!

I think we could have done without the Reverend Al and the politician from TX. A tribute should be to remember the deceased, not to further an agenda.
I felt bad for Brooke and Usher, they showed true feeling.

CNN also has no commentary. But they do put a caption up when someone new appears onstage.

Not to belittle anyones feelings but I can't imagine crying over his death. Crying while he was alive yes.
I was a HUGE fan of his even attending the Victory tour concert in La at heart of his fame. I was trying to explain to my kids how famous he was. They started naming off popular recording artists and I said no way not even close.

They play a clip a second ago of him singing when he was part of the Jackson 5. Not my type of music but man that kid had talent from such a young age. I notice it more now then I ever did before.
