I am just fishing out here. What a mind bending show. Just wondering if anyone else is watching.

For others who like Sci-Fi it is the beginning of Battlestar Galactica and the origin of the Cylons.

I finally saw episode 2 last night, wow. For others that are interested they are still running the pilot, show 2 and new episode 3 is on Friday.

I saw the pilot a few months ago on DVD and watched the first 'real' episode last week.

Like what I've seen so far. Good cast. Not over the top with CGI or story gimmicks.

We miss BSG and hope that Caprica has some legs.

I have to say I thought I was going to let it go due to the religious aspect. A little too heavy for my tastes but now that I know that the boy is going to grow up to be Adama it has me hooked.

Plus I love Eric Stoltz which is why I tuned in for starters.

The initial draw for me was Esai Morales, who was so good in NYPD Blue.

still not sure if i'll stick with this show or not, loved bsg but this is a littletoo over the top for me,yet i sit and cant take my eyes off of it.:confused3

It seems like it can be a very good show, but I do think that a lot of folks just don't want to work as hard as you need to to appreciate the deeper elements, and as a result the show won't get good ratings.

Dh and I watch it and every episode of Battlestar Galactica (we have the dvd collection) and Stargate Atlantis....and what a bunch of fracking nerds we are eh!:lmao:

I wasn't sure if I'd watch at first - after all, we know how it turns out ;) (and the SW prequals left a bad taste in my mouth) but yes, after this week's ep I'm totally hooked.

In addition to being interested in this story in its own right, it's fascinating to see the backstory to Bill (which can be extrapolated to Lee as well, although I don't think this series intends to cover that amount of time). What happens to cause Bill and Joseph to have a falling out? How will that affect Lee's relationship with his grandfather? How are Admiral Adama's dealings with terrorists in the fleet influenced by the fact that his own mother and sister were killed by terrorists? (highlight to see - a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen the pilot)

BTW, for those who don't know, the pilot is WAY not appropriate for kids!

Thank you for the heads-up on the repeat of the earlier episodes. We missed the beginning and were feeling left out. I'll set the DVR to record them on Friday.

I was a BSG fan, but I had my doubts about Caprica. After seeing the pilot and the next episode, I think it'll be great!

You should see the unrated version on DVD. Really not kid-appropriate.

It starts here early 5pm Central Time so BOLO. (My nerdy NCIS term.:lmao:)

So far so good and I'm more curious to see how things shape into what happens within BSG.

Fast BSG question: did Number 6's actor guest on SPN a couple of seasons ago? I just got the dvds and pretty sure it was her in "Roadkill".

Oh I forgot about it (that is what happens when you DVR).:lmao:Sometimes it is like Christmas. I sit down to my taped shows and get to watch my variety.

Oh wow, that was pretty darn good. Eric Stoltz was a very good choice for this role.

Since it is new I will refrain from talking about it so others can catch up.

Certainly many topics to discuss. All mind bending which is my favorite thing.
