Anyone watch the fireworks from PPH pool deck?

If anyone here has watched the fireworks from the Paradise Pier pool deck, could you please let me know how it was. Was the view really good? Could you see most of the special effects?

We're going in October and staying at the Paradise Pier. Last December we saw the fireworks and had a great view from inside the park, but this time we're considering watching from the Paradise Pier pool deck so we don't have to fight the crowds. What do you think about this idea?

We watched them from there in Dec last year. They even pipe in the music! It was great.. of course you won't see the castle projections or tink, but you do see the fireworks. I think it was a wonderful way to avoid the crowds...
