Anyone watch Skating with Celebrities?

The only couple I haven't been able to warm up to is Nancy and Dave. They just don't do it for me. Every time I look at Nancy all I can hear is Why? WHY???

Sorry. :rotfl:

(ok - sorry - I tivo'd this and just watched it last night)

Dave and Nancy have GOT to GO...I cannot STAND them! (her face STILL bugs me after all these years...WHY...WHY?!?!?! :lmao: )

And - seriously - Kristy is a ditz...she didn't realize she wasn't eliminated?

I thought Zimmerman's fall was well saved...he kinda looked like he went into some sort of "disco-esq" dance move while on the ice. heheh

I also can not stand Dave and Nancy. I haven't liked any of their routines and last night's was just laughable. I wasn't really liking Deborah a whole lot, but she sure went out with great integrity. I was hoping that Kristy would stay because I think she's really good, but I didn't like her comments last night when she thought she lost.

DANG - I missed it last night and forgot to Tivo it...went to the movies (saw Brokeback Mountain - 2 thumbs up! Excellent movie!)

Any who - who got eliminated last night?

Dave and Nancy

The judges must love Tai and Bruce, they actually go off the ice and still score pretty high. :confused3 I just hope that the final goes down to Jillian and Kristy they have so much more ability than Bruce. Sorry Bruce. ;)

The performance level was actually pretty impressive last night! Kristy and Lloyd really stepped it up.

OMG, I love Flip this house! I want to work for them. :)

Kristy and Lloyd were awesome last night! And, yes, I was glad to see Nancy and Dave go. They were annoying. Even Bruce is more fun to watch than those two.

As for the Tai/Bruce off the ice issue, well I thought she saved that really well. For a few seconds I actually thought it was part of the routine! :rotfl:

My money is still on Kristy and Lloyd taking it all. :thumbsup2

I'm sure that none of them want to see Tai Babilonia out of the competition. She is still SO wonderful to watch on the ice. You're supposed to be watching the "celebrity" of course, but it's hard not to keep your eyes on Tai.

Kristy and Lloyd were really terrific last night. Obviously, the final will be Kristy/Lloyd vs. Jillian/John. I'm sure Bruce/Tai will be gone next week but they've had a nice run.

I don't know, I'm still up in the air on this one, Bruce and Tai did beat out Kristy and LLoyd the week before. I think it's easier to look better when the celebrity is female since the male professional skater can lift her over his head and do more complicated stunts then Bruce can do. To me, it feels like comparing apples to oranges

No question that the female celebrities with the male pairs skating partners (Kurt Browning was out of his element too) have a huge advantage. Also, Jillian Barberie with her prior figure skating background, albeit as a child, should probably have been paired with Kurt Browning. Teaming her up with John Zimmerman gave her an undeniable advantage; had she been paired with Browning, it would have been more equitable. Jenner is without a doubt the most improved skater but it's more than likely not enough.

Kristy and Lloyd rocked last night! Wow, that was an amazing performance.

I wasn't surprised that Tai and Bruce were voted off but he really did come a long way for someone who had never skated. Tai was just a joy to watch.

My money is still on K & L. The finale is in 2 weeks.

ACK! Don't tell me who won. :teeth: I'm sure I heard the announcer say that it would be on in 2 weeks, not next week. That was said at the end of the program when they were doing the promos for the final show.

ok - sorry - i'm on a delay...I always Tivo this show and watch it on Tuesday nights.

Kinda figured it would be a Jillian/John vs. Kristy/Llyod match up.

and whoever said Jillian should have been with Kurt browning - excellent point!

I was REALLY impressed with Kristy/Llyod last night..being that I missed the prior week...they seem to really have come far. Kristy is a twit though I think...heheh...taking her skates off while she was still sitting on the couch? odd.

Celebrity’ skaters pair off — much to jilted wife’s dismay
By Inside Track
Wednesday, February 15, 2006 - Updated: 12:30 PM EST

“Skating With Celebrities” finalists Kristy Swanson and her on-air partner Lloyd Eisler are doing more than just clutching each other on the ice: The two are having a red-hot affair that has devastated his heartbroken wife.

“I was shocked, upset and betrayed,” Marcie Eisler, 31, told Star magazine. “I should have trusted my instincts.”

The mother of Eisler’s two kids — ages 19 months and just seven weeks — suspected her figure-skater hubby was two-timing with Swanson when she flew out to L.A. to visit him during the taping of the show.

But Swanson, 36, a B-list actress who played the lead in the 1992 flick “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” made sure Marcie knew the awful truth. At the end of October the former Playboy covergal forwarded Eisler’s wife a steamy e-mail he had sent the skating strumpet.

“It basically talked about how much he loved her,” a source told Star.

The Canadian pairs Olympic champ “eventually admitted it,” when his wife confronted him.

“I told him, ‘One of us is leaving this house because we cannot continue together,’ ” Marcie told the tab. “Lloyd left on Nov. 5.”

The couple signed their separation agreement on Nov. 30 and Marcie says her husband of three years and Swanson are still an item.

“I talk to Lloyd because we have two children together,” said Marcie, who is Mom to newborn Seth and toddler Ethan. “I guess he and Kristy deserve each other.”

Ironically, when the two first teamed up for the FOX reality show, the judges were unimpressed with their on-ice chemistry.

“I’d love to see more of a connection between the two of you,” judge Dorothy Hamil told them when they finished last in “Skating With Celebrities’ ” first episode.

Apparently, they took her advice to heart!

Who won the skate off,(Spoiler)

Jillian or Bruce? Kristy and Lloyd had a great performance. Dorothy said it looked like they had bonded. :scratchin
