The old guy may be the Dr., that's what I thought anyway. I missed thta he took Star, I was only half listening.

We were just told about Joey this week.

MItch kept saying that he would bring the girl to the old guys nurse but I don't understand the connection yet. Also, in the previews, they mentioned Todd having to keep Mitch away from Blair.

Does anyone know the connection??

They've been pretty careful to only refer to the old guy as "him" or some other ambiguous term. I figured he was Roxie's dead husband, the doctor, but couldn't understand why he had a vested interest in either of the girls. When he took Starr today, I suddenly realized why the actor seemed "familiar". I could be wrong, but he kind of reminds me of the actor who played Todd's father.

Todd's father was one of Mitch's follwers, so maybe it is him.

Peter Manning? That could explain his interest in Star.

When I first saw the old guy, I thought it looked like Victor Lord! Then, I remembered that he's been dead a long time - or hasn't he?!

He did have the big "L" monogram on his robe just like the one on the scarf Mitch used on Jen. Maybe it stands for Lord not Lawrence.

I'm so sorry! I just re-read my post & saw how poorly I worded that. Todd's father is Victor Lord. (At the moment I posted, the brain cell with Victor's name must have died.)

Victor was one mean, rotten critter. He was so warped that it wouldn't surprise me that he was behind Mitch the first time around - at least in the re-written world of soaps.

Oh, that's right! And his mother (Irene?) ran off with someone? leaving Todd to be raised by Peter Manning (who was also a scumbag). It'd be interesting to see Todd face to face with Victor or Peter.

What was it that Joey said he was? He said something like he's still in training and he can get married and all that. I don't think I've heard that word before...it might have started with a C.

While I haven't yet seen today's episode (it's on tape still), I've been suspecting the old man is Victor Lord.

The end of yesterday's show, revealing new Curate as Joey, sure came as a surprise.

How did Roxie become bankrupt? I only saw a minute of her and Rae talking about how Roxie can get a job.

She supposedly lost all her money in Atlantic City. How she went through all that, I don't know!!!!! I do hear that Max is suppose to try and make things work with Roxie. I just don't see them paired at all

Roxie gambled away her money. I missed part of the episode, but it started with her at the tables; her mother came in & started giving her a hard time. Then Rex showed up & stuck up for her - for about 2 minutes. Then Roxie & her mother started betting against each other with Rex encouraging her. The next thing I saw was Roxie at the diner saying she lost everything.
