Me Out of Here? What did you think? I didn't start out to watch, but kinda got hooked. All these pampered people living in the wild...

Can I just say that reality shows are enjoyable in their own way, but all this humiliation stuff with bugs and rats and stuff really turns me off. Also, ALL the shows are doing that stuff now, making them eat that crap or sit in boxes of bugs, worms and whatever, to me, it is gross and getting old. Oh, and I can tell you they would NEVER get me to eat that stuff or have those things crawling on me....so they could just automatically put the big L for loser on my forehead;)

I taped it and then watched. I think some of the celebs won't last too long while others will.

Any show where you can eat crap AND sit in boxes of bugs and worms is sure to hook me too, LOL. Is this a new show??

LOL, Dan!

I watched it. :o
I thought it was kinda boring, but it is really funny seeing them so out of there element. I agree, some of them will not make it very long at all. I was LOL when Nikki was out there fixing her hair & putting on makeup!! :teeth:

Did anyone else think that it looked kind of fake, like they were on a set in a studio? I have never been in the outback but it looked strange for some reason.

What does the winner of this one get?I think it is hysterical that on Fear Factor, with all of the dangerous and disgusting challenges, that the prize is just $50K. I cant see me doing one of those much less 3 for less than $5 mil...

I saw the previews a couple times while watching the final showing of "The Bachelorette" and I just thought it looked fake and stupid so no, I didn't watch it.

Watched it and definitely think that some of them wont' make it very long. Robin Leach looked pretty out of shape and old (older than he is). From the way it was filmed, it looked like Bruce Jenner, Tyson Beckford, Melissa Rivers and Stuttering John would be the only ones who could "tough" it out.

While I like watching the celebs being put out in the wild, I didn't get the "challenge" of having live creepy crawlies down your pants to win a reward. Yuck!

And what is up with swimming with the alligators? I don't know or even like any of these people, yet I don't want to see anyone get seriously injured (as I think you could). Just doesn't seem fun to me. Seeing anyone purposely hurt or humiliated turns me off.

I don't think I'll last long watching this one.

I also thought it looked fake!

My husband of course couldn't believe that the "tv people" would lie to us!!

Yes, it looked like a specifically set up spot for them to nest. It just was a little too clean, but again, they most likely had that spot fixed for the show.

I do think though that Nikki's "primping" looked a little staged (although she most likely is vain in that respect), but Alana truely did look freaked out at times.

I guess the "challange" of creepy things in your pants is more to overcome their fear to see that the "team" gets their extra eats! Again, my teammates most likely would end up being hungry, yikes, I don't want those rats on my legs!

I'm anxious to see how the alligator challange plays out, there is NO way they would let a star be alligator bait and get injured! I'm in agreement, challanges are fine, but a lot of these shows use humiliation and that turns me off.

I decided to watch the first episode so I could see that it was awful and a waste of time and not have to watch it again.

Now I've done that. :D

Barb-
I thought the exact same thing. It does look like a stage set or something. It doesn't look as realistic as Survivor does. However, that may be because one is filmed and one is videotaped, and the two methods produce very different results.

Sweetness-
I can't remember the prize amount, but it goes to the star's charity of choice.

I thought it was hilarious! Melissa Rivers was very annoying.

I was half-watching and missed some of the details. Are they voted off? I have to agree with most of what others have said. No way would I ever put those things down my pants and I don't want to see anyone get in a crocodile (was it crocs or alligators?) pit!! The show seemed kind of stupid and I don't think I will watch it again.

i agree. i thought the show looked stupid from the previews but since there wasn't really anything else on i decided to give it a try. what a waste of time! they have cots with sleeping bags and an out house. they call this ruffing it? i guess compared to limos and room service. how'd you like their shirts that have their name and phone number on the back. what was that about? i wonder if this show will even make it to the end. i doubt i'll ever watch it again. on the score of 1-5, i give it a 1.

I'm guessing the phone numbers on their backs are the numbers tied to voting for them to see who gets what challange when viewers can call in to see who will "swim with the alligators" tonight:p
