Anyone want to share a grocery delivery at DLH?

I was going to order about $25 - $30 of grocerys from Vons for our stay at the DLH. But their minimum order is $50. Does anyone want to share a grocery order? We will be staying from June 27th until July 4th. If you are interested I will buy your groceries and you can pay me back when you pick them up.

If you decide not to have the groceries delivered by Vons, there is no minimum order amount with Albertsons, but they do have a $9.95 delivery fee. We have used them and it worked out great.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I've got to stick with the free delivery from Vons.

I read somewhere on here recently that there is a discount code for first time orders for Vons, to waive the delivery charge. It's just "deliveries". Might want to try that. If it doesn't work, you can always cancel. I wrote it down because I plan to do the same thing when we go in October.

Edit: by the way, have you started your order yet and added up how much it is? When we did it in March, we hit $50 quite easily-- but then we are a family of 5, and we ordered lots of breakfast and snacky stuff, plus milk, soymilk and juice, along with our rack of water. Also plastic spoons and a roll of paper towels. It worked out so well, and we didn't waste much. Most of it we used up while there. Fresh fruit is great to grab and eat in line while waiting for Early Entry!

I'm planning on using Vons the next time too. We liked Albertsons, but I think we will be able to order enough for this trip to meet the minimum for Vons to get the free delivery.

Do you go to their website to order ahead of time? What a great idea!

Yes. You place your order at the website (either Albertsons.com or Vons.com) and pay with a credit or debit card. Use the zip code of where you are staying and the website will bring up the items that are available in that area for you to choose from. You also have to select a delivery date/time when you place your order. Hope it works out for you. We will do this every time we visit from now on. It was so worth it.
