We are leaving for Florida on May 15th. We are driving down and staying Friday at Myrtle Beach and the continuing the drive saturday morning to our resort off-site.

It will be myself, my s/o and our 2 children ages 4 and 2. I don't really have any itinerary planned. As of now we are only planning to do Magical Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (I've never been there before).

What are some things we must see/do? I was just planning on going to the park and enjoying it without any agenda since we won't be able to do everything with the 2 little ones but in reading some posts here there are alot of things I don't know about and would never have known if it wasn't for these boards. TIA for any suggestions.

DH, DD and i always go the left first when we get to the hub at MK-everyone else goes to the right, presumably to hit space mountain. we go left and enjoy POTC, jungle cruise, SM, BTMRR and HM w/o lines. don't miss mickey's philharmagic, peter pan and the pooh ride for the little ones. i'm not a big fan of AK, although EE was a lot of fun-DD didn't enjoy it at all b/c it goes backwards, lol. if you can squeeze in a 1/2 day at DHS, the kids will enjoy playhouse disney live, voyage of the little mermaid and the lights, motors, action stunt show. the beauty & the beast stage show is great too :) HTH!

skipping Animal Kingdom and just doing HS? My cousin just left with and mentioned to me about getting a diamond pass? Do you know anything about this? Our resort is Orange Lake which isn't too far away.

No idea about the Diamond Pass, possibly a AAA parking pass?
Anyways...
With 2 little ones you will definately want to do Disney Studios as that is where Voyage of Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney and many of the characters are at. You can also eat with the characters of Playhouse Disney there too, breakfast is nice and you get to enter the park before it opens!
I would also do Epcot World Pavillion where you can do Kid Cot centers and have passports made and or do the masks! The kids like to do it and can have their masks stamped in each country, and/or have their names written in different languages! That is free!! The passports cost a little (about $7?) but are worth it too and again they get them stamped and can have their names written tin the different languages of the countries! Not to mention that they can learn so much while visiting!
Also while in Epcot you can visit NEMO at the living seas! ANd there are alot of hands on activities there too.
AK has loads for younger kids too and many stage shows that they will really enjoy...be sure to not miss NEMO on stage, it is amazing!
And on course you will not want to go away without visiting the MK. Need I say more!
If you can only do one character dinner, do Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. It is a buffet and you will get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Donald. If you would rather do Princesses then do 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, you will get to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, The Fairy Godmother and the 2 step sisters put on a really cute show! Again, this is a buffet.
Enjoy your trip!

hmm...the only diamond pass i know of is the AAA diamond parking pass-it won't get you free parking, but it will get you a space next to the handicapped section (at least at MK). i'm pretty sure you have to book your trip through AAA to get one though. if your kids love animals, i wouldn't skip AK, but perhaps try to find a way to squeeze in an extra 1/2 day to do DHS. however, i wouldn't try to do AK and DHS in one day with 2 small children-AK is a HUGE park and if you want to make it through the day w/o making the kids cranky, commando-style isn't the way, lol. if i'm not mistaken, there are park maps on here that will help you plan which attractions you want to do. even though i've been to wdw several times, i always pull out my maps in advance of a trip and make not an itinerary, per se, but just a list of things in each park we want to do; this way, we can be somewhat laid-back about our day without missing anything important to us. HTH!
