I posted this on the Orlando Hotel thread too, but I know my budget Disers would have some great ideas  . My hubby just told me we can take a quick trip March 20-25. We are AP holders so we have tickets, now we need a room. All moderates and values are booked in WDW, so we need to go offsite. I have checked every site, hotelmart, easyclick, orbitz... and I haven't a clue on what to book :earseek: .

I realize it's Easter week so we are seeing higher rates. We need to keep this a budget trip and don't want to spend more than $75 a night. I don't want to try priceline because I really would like to know where I am staying. PLEASE those of you who know how to search out great deals, help us out. I want to be close to Disney and the hotel has to be decent (no yucky ones). I know this is a tall order, I was checking out the Radisson Worldgate and that was even coming up $90 (use to be $45 ). So any help would be appreciated  .

Thanks and I so do appreciate any search and find techniques you can implement

Have you check the hotels recommended by mousesavers? We are going to try the Buena Vista Suites in october. $89/night. Check mousesavers.

Yes, I checked Mousavers first and Buena Vista Suites is $109 and the Radisson Parkway $109. A little steep for this particular trip, thanks though!

We did a budget trip at Spring Break in 2002. Booked air about 6 weeks before and had to find a hotel.

We stayed at the Masters Inn - Maingate. Cost us $37/night. They have a pool, free cont breakfast, and the room was clean. It was not bad for the money. We ended up having a great trip. They also have suites for around $75 a night.

They have 3 locations. Maingate is closest to WDW. It is a couple of miles west on Hwy 192 (Irlo Bronson).

Good luck.

I just ran your dates there....

Cost would be $51 night for a standard room and $86 for a suite.

It is a very basic hotel, but like I said, we enjoyed our trip and this hotel served its purpose of a place to sleep. We also swam quite a bit. The pool was warm and clean.

Good luck.

If it was me, I would try the Best Western on International Drive. You can walk to other things to do (mini golf, Race Rock cafe). It is decent and clean, has a pool and easy access. We've stayed twice for nights (1 before our disney room when we arrived early) and another time for 3 nights. I think it was around $65, but that was years ago. Also, the Comfort Inn also on International Drive was decent and included a nice breakfast. It was cheaper, around $39, also yrs. ago. This is the lower end of International Drive where the traffic is not as bad to get around.
Also, I would recommend NOT going to Kissimee.
