This trip is approaching too fast for me. I feel overwhelmed, and I can't enjoy the planning like I did last time. Our 2002 trip was wonderful, but I was a full-time Mom and had lots of time to pack and plan. This time, I am working full time and barely have a moment to do anything! I was thinking that soon I would be in the teens and then the single digits and I almost had a panic attack!! HELP!

Don't get me wrong, We are all very, very, excited, I just feel like I can't prepare as well this time. Anyone feel the same?

TigerLilly's Mom,

In all seriousness. I'd go with the clothes on my back. Don't worry, you'll make it.
How do I know this?

Because you are a Mom, and all mom's have super hero powers when you need them. Seeing my wife transform from a regular human after two kids has been amazing to see.

Have fun!

My trip can't come fast enough for me. You've still got plenty of time until your trip so I think you'll be all set by the time it rolls around.

In theory I would like it to slow down because I've still got lots to get done (including two short essays and one long paper for my Master's program), BUT I'm so excited I'm glad my trip is coming up even though my 'to-do' list is mind-boggling. I know that somehow, someway it will all come together and me and my family will be off on our magical adventure.

I need more paychecks between now and my trip to help pay for both Christmas and our trip!!!!!!!:teeth:

I am with Kim! I wish I had more time for the extra paychecks!!! I am very overwhelmed with packing and everything that needs to be done, but I am so excited to go! I figure if all else fails we can buy a Disney wardrobe while we are there!!!

I'm with you there. I leave in a week and I'm trying to figure out when I'll have time to pack. And when I'll have time to write out a packing list, for that matter.

BUT.....
7 DAYS TO GO!!! :Pinkbounc

Glad to know I'm not alone :) I am really excited, I just wished I had like 5 days of nothing to get ready. And Thanksgiving is in there too - that really takes a big chunk out!

Have a great time to all those that are leaving next week!!!!

I understand exactly what you mean. One thing I do to curb my trip anxiety is make lists. Any time I think of something to pack, to do, to buy before the trip, I jot it down. Makes me feel better ::yes:: .

 I hope you all have wonderful trips!

Ummm,NO Just look at my timer. I feel like I'm on work time:rolleyes:

We were hit by Hurricane Ivan and without the Internet for 6 weeks. I have been so busy cleaning up after all the repair people that I just got around to looking up the hours for Dec. I have no idea what we will do in the Port of Calls for our cruise and I will just be so glad to get away and relax that I am just going to take it as it comes. We are only going to WDW for one day to see the Christmas decorations and I am just not worrying about it. We will see what we can and will just enjoy being there.

Dh and I leave on Thanksgiving day. I'M NOT READY AT ALL. Trying to get exited.

I have lots of stuff to do between now and then, including finishing up Christmas errands, buying last minute toiletries, waiting on our Land's End order to come in (warm clothes for the trip), and packing, BUT I DON'T CARE! I just wanna go already.::yes::

I wish that our countdown would hurry up. Luckily, I have a lot to keep me busy, with getting ready for Thanksgiving. Then we are going to decorate before we leave, so hopefully the time will pass faster than it seems to be.

Nope, I really want mine to speed up just a little, because I have a feeling I'll be working the whole weekend!

Tink

I'm torn. I desperately want my timer to speed up and be there already but I have to get through Christmas first which I have not started shopping for, I have to make a costume for DD Christmas play (she is a mouse but apparently Minnie is not good enough for her..you should have seen her face when I teased her about borrowing my mouse ears.. priceless LOL), and I have to buy all the little things for our trip like fanny packs, blister kits, autograph books etc.
At the same time, the actual paper planning is all done; the itineraries, the PS all booked, car hire, park tickets, so all I can do is read these boards in the hope of learning something new.
I guess doing things that aren't diney related just aren't as much fun which is why Christmas shopping just isn't high on my list of priorities. How does anyone find the money to do all this stuff anyway? Extra pay checks would be nice but I think I only have 2 more before the trip.. Christmas bonus better be really healthy this year.
Much pixie dust,
Claire

Can't get here fast enough crowd. BUT I haven't been to the world in 7 yes 7 years, This will be my 18 trip but it is all feeling new to me.

Hope you relax and enjoy your trip, my wife an dI have three kids we both work full time so I do understand.

Dave

Glad to hear everyone's responses, thanks. I guess since this is our second trip with the kids, I know how quickly it will go by and I don't want to that to happen.

We are going to save Christmas decorating until we get home on the tenth. It will give the kids something to look forward to. This really helped last time when we went during the same time period. My DD - 6 is like me, she gets depressed once the trip is over, but even worse! Christmas will definatley help.

Only 23 more days, I am really getting excited now!!!!
