Anyone wanna join me for another mini-goal?

This is a great mini-goal for me! Count me in for 8 lbs by 8/1 - then I leave for WDW on 8/2 for two glorious weeks!

mini-goals do help me so much thanks for starting this thread!

I want to hit my goal by Labor day! that's 4 lbs in two months, which is pretty much consistent with the slow loser that I am.

Is that ok to make my own date or are we all going to Aug 1? If so then by Aug 1 I will WI at 135? whew, now that's a goal!
 
UPDATE!!!
I made my Onederland goal of 198.5 by August 5th (my weigh in is on Tuesdays) Now I've extended another goal for 190 by the first Tuesday in September- which is 4 weeks away. My be all end all goal is to be at 186 for our Disney trip 9/23- that means by BMI scales I will be going to Disney as an overweight traveller not an OBESE one!! :) 158- 189 for my height is considered overweight and I'm shooting for the "appropriate" weight by next April.




Well, I weighed this morning and MADE my liberty goal of 209!!! I actually weighed 208.5 two days ago but I worked out strongly at the gym one night and all my muscles are sore so I'm hoping that's .5 gain in muscles! :) So I am READY for my next mini-goal!!!!

ONEDERLAND!!!!!! I want to be in ONEDERLAND by August 1st- that gives me 4 full weeks from today's weigh in to reach it. So that's 2.5 pounds a week which is aggressive but doable- I continue to walk 20-25 miles a week and drinking lots of water- I had cut down my slimfast to just one a day or every other day so this month to meet goal I'm gonna go back to a strict slimfast approach.

So when I post on Friday August 1, 2003 you will see 199 and probably 199 bouncies next to it!! :) We can do this- I had to squeak by ot get this goal met- lots of weekend celebrations that could have sabotaged my goal but in the end it worked! Thanks everyone!!!!

And to Disney Mom- my visit to my OB is July 28- I'll weigh about 50 pounds less than what I weighed 2 years ago (I know I hate going to OB and skipped a year!) so I can't wait to have them write the new number down! Your doctor will FLIP!!!! That is an awesome weight loss and you should be very proud!!

I didn't make my 4th of July mini goal; I didn' even come close:( . I know I need to keep trying though, so I am jumping on this thread, and on the next mini goal bandwagon. I am going to try and be more realistic this time, and I will shoot for a 6 lb loss by 8/1.

Okay I am in! My mini goal is to lose 15 more lbs by Labor Day!

My new mini goal will be 9 lbs. by August 1st.

That will give me my 25 lb. clippie and put me in some new numbers.:rolleyes:

Thanks for all of the support and the idea of these mini-goals. I feel much more accountable with all of you here.
 
I'll go for 10 pounds by 8/1. I will get my 25 pound clippie then!!

My short term goal is 30 pounds by October for my next WDW trip, I would like to feel comfortable wandering around the park, plus if I happen to gain a little while there, I won't feel so bad!
 
Since tomorrow is the beginning - I will shoot for 15 lbs by Labor Day.

I was also wondering how everyone is doing on their mini-goals?

Frankly, I haven't done very well so far, I was aiming for a total of 12.5 lost, but so far I'm only down a total of 5.5. Completely my fault because of some trips I went on (business and pleasure), but nativetxn has the words "have a plan" embedded into my brain! I'm going to Molokai for an overnight business trip next week, and although it's easy to make excuses, I am going with a PLAN!

I don't think it's realistic to think I can safely lose 7 pounds in the next week, so I'm going to aim for 1 pound in the next week, then set another goal for Labor Day. I will not be defeated!
 
I met my goal of getting my 25lb clippie and since I am very close to the next clippie, I will change my goal to 30lbs by Aug 1.(I only have 1 1/2lbs to lose in a week). Hope everyone is doing well with their goals.

Glad you found it so I could refresh my memory!

I'm doing pretty well on my challenge. I had been on such a plateau I opted to go for a small goal. On July 1st I said I'd try to lose 8 pounds by Labor day. I was 150.

I've lost 5 of that 8 so far! 3 more to go! :)

Changing my eating plan kick started me!

Hello All,

I was hoping to lose 8lbs by 8/1 before my WDW trip. Well with exactly one week to go till 8/1, I've lost 6.5 lbs. Hopefully I can drop the last 1.5 lbs before next Friday!

Eeek! Well, I see that I was shooting for 136...but I am holding steady at 138.5 (last week and this week) and I'm sure I won't be at 136 by next week. Hmm! Where is the August goals thread? ;)
 
Woo-hoo! I'm there! I set my goal small b/c I was on a plateau for so long. I was 150 and wanted to lose 8 pounds by Labor day.

My official weigh in today showed a weight of 140.5! :) So I did it!

I made my Labor Day goal! wanted to loose another 5lbs and I did it
Now I need a new mini-goal - 4lbs to goal! So by Sept 6th I want to be at 130
 
Well i'm shooting for a labor day goal of 160 and i'm 3.5 lbs away and still have 2 more weight in's to get there! I'm shooting for 159 by aug 24th! I can do it (i hope).lOL
 
30 pound clippie by Sept. 1st for me!! I have to lose 4 pounds by then. That puts me at 179, 2 pounds away from my halfway point!! I am taking it easy for this month, because of my surgery yesterday (abdominal surgery makes workouts kind of hard!!:( )
 
LOL, I figured out I lost 10.8 so I made it! Yay! I'm going to go for a 21 day exercise challenge starting today. 21 days in a row!
