We are cruising aug 16-26 , maybe adding a day before or after if we can afford it. Haven't bought airfare yet.. Anyone else? Need to probably do it soon. Want to decide dates etc and want best air price! I am searching every day. They say tues/ weds best time to book. Phil to orlando.. Us air best price so far but still crazy plus adding bags now.. Ugh!

There is no "best day to book" for airfares. Airlines change their prices multiple times during the day, every day. Suggest going to www.kayak.com and establishing an alert for the dates you want to travel. Then watch that for the next week or two in order to get a feel for the prices. Once you know what they are running, jump on the best price you see.

All the travel gurus in national magazines, tv shows, etc. I have seen say to book no later than "Memorial Day" for travel through August as prices will only shoot skyward after the end of May.

Having said that, people have been wrong before....

I'm waiting too. Right now for our family of 6 to fly from Philadelphia would be over $2500.

Flights from philly to orlando are probably only going to rise from now till august. Chances are slim to none for a fare reduction for this particular route from now till august. Best case scenario is the fares will stay the same, but the down side is that the flights will be the least desirable times.

We are flying out August 16th and was waiting, but when I saw a jump of $200 I went ahead and book. I'm glad I did because I have check after that to see, and it just keeps increasing way high. It has gone now over $600.00 :faint: .

We don't go until November but I like to get everything done and paid for as soon as possible, so as soon as the Disney package was booked, I started checking airlines. We love to fly JetBlue, and the flights I wanted were available, but I didn't have the money yet to buy the tickets. So, I waited, and the return flight disappeared 3 days later. Then the flight prices jumped up $50/ticket on all of the airlines. As I checked the other day, all were still too high except Delta. The price had dropped to $250 person, round trip from Rochester to Orlando. That's the lowest I've seen it for quite a while, so I snapped it up. I'm trying not to check the sites anymore so that I won't regret it if the prices drop on JetBlue and they add another late flight for our return day!

Have you checked Southwest? (www.southwest.com) They usually seem to be a bit cheaper for me but I am Ohio to Orlando... They also allow you to check 2 bags per ticket at no extra charge.

Booking tomorrow usair or southwest if rates drop... We shall see. I'm very sick if looking everyday lol.
